I know they are different. I know you can use an E maxx mount on a Summit/Erevo to put the motor in front, I was just wonering if anyone had done this to an E maxx, flip the motor to the front side...
Has anyone used a erevo single motor mount? Will it fit?
Any isues with the torquemaster esc and that DeWalt motor? Holmes says the DeWalt is too big for their esc.
If they are tight corners, I love my hot racing one way center bearing. Off throttle acts just like a 2wd, the front tires are coasting, touch the brake and the rear will come around just like a 2wd....
Will a Hobbywing SC-8 WP run a DeWalt motor? If so, how do you wire it? I've searched and have not been able to find an answer. Thanks in advance.
The tires and wheels on that display chassis, are they the real deal? Or just hard plastic?
You could find a scale blown hemi and fill that space between the body and rear shock tower. Cut the scoop open and have ram air to cool the esc. Would look like one of Don Garllets's Swamp Rats.
Ok, update. Finally hit 70mph, same set up as before, just geared at 78/31. Thanks for all the help.
The only difference is the steel instert?
Any one use XO 1 hubs for + offset ?
Ok, maybe too agressive on gearing. That would explain going into thermal. I'm runnin g locs on the rear and 1/8 buggy on roads on the front. I'll step back down to 31/76, try it on 3s and 4s and get...
No they won't work, it's a funky thread size, bigger than 3mm, smaller than 4mm.
Ok, fellas, help me out here. I'm runnin 4s lipo (2x2s onyx 25c 5000mha in series) with a MMP, 8 degrees timing, velinion 3500 motor, geared at 31 pinion, 58 spur. I've managed 69mph outta it, but...
Short of XO-1 tires or foams, what are you using for speed runs? I just blew 2 1/8 scale buggy road tires off the beads at 67 mph.
You're probably right about getting used to it again, just curious if any one has done it and what they used. Are the mod 1 gears louder than 32 pitch?
I ran my 2wd then the 4x4, and holy cow those 32 pitch gears are loud.
Is there any way to run a 48 pitch spur on the center diff?
Is there any way to put a 48 pitch spur on the center diff?
A little work with the body mounts and you can use a summit body. I'll try to post pics later.
I just kind of find it hard to believe that no one has an advertised 300-350 oz waterproof servo out there. I mean, with as big as the whole crawler thing is and all. I still plan on fordging streams...
Yeah a little bit of thumb pressure and the maxx 2.5 brake disc will pop right on. Holding up good in my dewalt summit and my MMM 2200 e maxx, and for $4, how can you go wrong?
Is there a better steering servo out there for a reasonable price?
Already have the steel center axles, pretzled the stockers with the DeWalt. Giving consideration to some MIP axle shafts, been through a few stockers. I wish there were some steel gears available for...
