Purchased a pretty rough t-maxx 2.5 and I've cleaned and upgraded most of it to 3.3 standard with the exception of the tranny and motor.

Actually, looks like they changed the 3.3. Yes that steering includes servo protection now.
The bushing inside the top is likely worn, allowing for the top of the servo to have play like that. I stole a bushing out of a damaged servo to replace mine.
I agree though, that doesn't look...
Picco stock is typically flush on both needles. If you can't find a manual, I'd probably just call the company Monday and ask.
The problem is Matt, this isn't electric :D There isn't a precise needle setting that works for all engines of a make and model. Every engine is different, even within the same make/model.

Better yet, scrap the old NIMH idea and get a proper LIFE if you have the appropriate charger.
Wow, good catch. I hadn't noticed that one yet. He had drywall screws holding the front bumper/bulkhead together :D
Was thinking about life instead of a hump pack as well since I have a lipo/life charger for my 1/16th rally.
