I have a steel spur on mine (wish I didn't) and when my engine loosened up it tor apart the clutch bell
If it's what I think you are describing then yes. These engines run using "pinch" so when the sleeve gets smaller at the top making it hard to push the piston when it reaches TDC
I think it's 100% worth it to get the 3.3. I just got mine in a month or so ago and love it
Correction its a 4909 I just looked it up
It looks to me like you have a short chassis tmaxx 3.3 which I believe the part number was 4908 or 4909 im no 100% sure but hope I helped a little
Nice build!! Can't wait to see how this turns out. This winter im going to start a e-stampede to n-stampede this winter
Is it just not shifting because with mine the reverse mechanism just didn't work
Ok thanks I will look a little closer. The screw is a 2nm right
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Hello guys, so today I was running my 4910 maxx with a 3.3 in it and I tried to adjust my shift point because it was shifting really early and it did nothing. I turned it over a full turn clockwise...
New fuel maybe fuel lines and you should probably clean/replace the air filter
Ok thanks guys. I havnt gotten to rebuilding the engines yet but when I do I will probably use wd-40
+1 on what nitronaught said. My first nitro engine was a 2.5r that I could never keep running right till I learned to tune
If you want more torque you should go with a bigger spur or clutch bell or both
Ok I guess I just didn't see that. How do you guys clean all the engine parts when you do rebuilds
I am in the process of rebuilding both my 2.5r and my dad's 2.5 but I can't figure out how to get the piston off of the connecting rod. Is this even possible to do? Thanks in advance
The biggest spur I could find was a 62 tooth and I'm going to try to use a 24 tooth clutch bell and hope they line up thanks I'll look into that shaft
This happened to me a lot last summer with my 2.5r and I know it was because of the tune. It sounds like it's over heating and possibly running a little rich causing it to bog down. The white smoke...
I just looked it up and I have everything that comes in that kit but the primary shaft and gear. Is there anyway to get just the shaft that I need
I have the black trans and I'm trying to install the 3.3 style slipper clutch not replacing the internal clutch
Hey guys I recently stripped my spur gear and I got the 3.3 style clutch as an upgrade and noticed that there is no hole in my primary shaft to install the clutch. Then I also noticed that the spur...
I bought my tmaxx used and it came with a whole in the windshield but it's on the wrong side of the body compared to where the engine and air filter are
You can either take the engine and fuel tank off or you can take the transmission out. I recommend taking the engine and fuel tank out because I think it's easier but that's just personal opinion
So I bought a used tmaxx a while back and it has what looks to me like the 2.5r because it has a blue cooling head. Are there any sort of stamping a or marking to decipher between a normal 2.5 with...
