the traxxas 2wd line up is the best and easiest thing to tear down and rebuild of any rc imo.... so as long as you have all the screws, parts and tools go for it. :thumbup:
if you have a wheelie problem (witch you wont enless you get a 3s) just loosen the slipper cluch nut :thumbup: and a 2s and a ok charger will be your next upgrade and you wont regret it.
do you have a link for the lights i like that control module for my scale rc drift rig...and when you get it tell me if its any good?

A brushless system, lipo and and some new wheels and tires will make it feel and look like a new truck.... i suggest the castle 3800 sct set up (i got mine from ebay for $120) a 2s lipo like $40 and...

hmm not sure the jb weld will hold to well with the amount of abuse that spot has to take.... may an aluminium rear skid plate will help it stay together? good luck!
Imo brake line is the best way to go. That's what i did and i don't regret it, but i guess u can try to lower the body mounts or get the proline adjustable body mounts.... but i don't know of any...
cut out the weard bed/rollcage thing i never really lliked, was just going to cut it with normal scissors.. lol didnt work this body is extreamly thick had to use tin snips and the rotozip,...
umm i dont know yet i was thinking "bashing" on the asfalt because i like high speed runs, but i made the spliter because i moved the body forward a little more than normal, and the stock bumper...
update got the cc system in and just put a normal layshaft in because im impatient:

Here is my "build" slarted as a bone stock brushed grey chassi slash about three years ago...
it may become a track/offroad truck sooner then later because i just picked up a hpi sprint 2 brushless...

Oh yes i kno. I can get an *associated slipper I just wanted to know if any one had broke the strc pin
So I bluw out the stock pin and I have the trans open on the work bench, my question is is the strc layshaft pin any stronger or just replace it with the stock shaft ?

Did the truck smell like something was burning when it stopped working? if so the motor burned out from to much amps for the gear ratio you have. Oh and do you know if its a brushless vxl or brushed ...
