I would like to know if the gear ratios for VTA are possible ,in the 4.00 final drive ratio range.
I ordered one , but in the mean time , simply shim up both battery strap mounts and use a slightly longer screw.
It ran pretty well.
We normaly run Late models, Bombers and Sprints cars , but the guys are talking about another class for next year. Something Traxxas-ish, 4x4 Slash/Stampede/Rally based, with...
Sandine , are you SURE that is going to be enough battery ?
Is the slipper/center diff the same as the Slash 4x4?
I am picking one up on the way home today , wanting to put in a center diff , and was wondering if it is going to fit.
Loosen the slipper a bit.
I was tearing up rear drive shaft every run, put the MIPs in , no problem , fronts are still stock.
Very nice indeed.
When the LCG Chassis came out for the 2wd Slash , it was a game changer for the truck. It looks like this one will be even better!
Same happened to me , ruined a few new Proline wheels this way. The wheel nut was a little loose , hex stripped because of lower contact surface.
Oh well , I keep my stuff TIGHT now.
Good idea , BUT ,
A change of battery should also include a quick inspection of other components, every run.
Take a mini tool kit , and some extra transmitter batteries !!
Customer service results have been great for me.
Also and this is VERY important, they are good on the phone, very good communicators.
Proline will probably have a few options before Traxxas releases them. I predict similar avaliability , before the end of this coming summer.
Of the 10 or so Summits in my area , I did see this happen to 1 of them.
Fix it , but you may try running the slipper about a half turn looser, from now on.
It looks to be the same , does anyone know for sure?
I seem to be snapping stock rear drive shafts almost every run , and the steel traxxas outdrive/yokes not being kind to the driveshafts either....
All the Traxxas boxes stay at HobbyTown USA , sounds like a country song....
As in Sprint Car?
That would be hard , considering the rollcage etc. We race Sprint Cars ,dirt oval, its tons of fun.
No matter what we do in RC, always go back to 1/10th scale.
Looks like a great idea , and good pics.
My question is, how does it perform?
I had a similar problem , it happened to be my steering servo [stripped gear], of all things.
The only things you may need spare for the first season are a couple of extra 2065 shift servos , and maybe a motor.
We ran them again sunday , but this time on the offroad track. Using some old Pirelli ,deep tread, TC tires , and 'rolling' off the back of jumps, not really getting air, they did fine.
Green for me, red for son , and blue for my girls to share.
