For a number of reasons, I didn't do anything with my RC cars/trucks since early Spring. But then I was able to get out this last Sunday. Had a blast with the Summit. It's still a ton of fun to...
I ran my Summit Jr. for the first time on Sunday and I think I saw what many of you are seeing. I'd best describe it as the throttle disengaging at low speeds. It's not like the brakes but rather...
Any install tips?
Without having mine handy and just looking at your pics, I wondering if you have the right and left swapped. The arm with with the slightly moved and curved brace goes on the side of the diff that...
There's a gear swap you can do in the tranny to lower the gear ratio and make more like the Summit in first gear. Then maybe you could find a way to lock the diffs. That would be about as close as...
I love the DOU II I got from http://www.rclipos.com. Though it looks like they are out of stock too.
How did you mount the rx8?
What pinion/spur are you running?
I know some of you guys are running RX8s...
How are folks mounting the RX8? Just servo tape or drilling holes and screwing it down or ??
That sounds backwards. For a dry break-in, you want to run it a long time 1+ hours on ~3V.
I haven't done a water break in for a long time, but I thought those should only be done for around 10...
I've read a number of negative reviews of Tenergy batteries.
If you going MMM, the 2200 is more suitable for the Summit. The 2650 is smaller and more suited for use in buggies.
Over-priced? The Tekin is about $30 more and supports sensored motors. Costing more for more features is not considered over-priced.
Slow? I think you need to back up that claim.
Check out this thread.
Many of us have our SmartStops crammed into our receiver boxes.
What temps are you getting without the fan?
What is your gearing?
Since my rear diff locking servo died while using the stock tx/rx, I adjusted the endpoints of the 4pk to move just enough to engage the locker but not more.
Which model # is the servo. The stock 2075 servo is digital and high-torque.
You sure you got something different than stock?
But think about it. If you made a trailer and carried around a full scale battery, you could hook up a charger and charge another battery pack as you drove around! :)
As I said, I'm getting the 2250.
It's been on my "to do" list for too long, so I'm finally going to order a Tekin rx8/2250 combo. Anything I should know ahead of time? Accessories I need to order (already have a hotwire kit)? ...
That looks like what I'm looking for. Thanks!
I got some smaller diameter tires to use at the track and I'm in need of figuring out how to appropriately adjust the gearing for the smaller tires.
I thought I saw people mention some website for...
I think the Summit has better handling than the Slash.
At what current are you charging them?
