New hobby and tmaxx 3.3
Hey what's up guys. My girlfriend purchased the new tmaxx 3.3 for me for Christmas and this is my first
Nitro truck. Only bad part is I have to wait untill Xmas to play with it lol. I don't know too much about these awesome machines, so I was hoping someone can direct me in the right direction to any necessary upgrades I can do since I have to wait to play with it! I also would like to know what extra/spare parts does everyone always keep on hand?

I would have 1 or 2 spare glow plugs especially during break in , a good glow starter . I don't know if they still come with a DVD but if yes just watch it , it should be pretty helpfull , take your time m have fun !
Maybe for future parts look for aluminum bulks and skidplate ,
Rpm and FLM parts!! But defiantly rpm stuff
Haha also a spur gear is nice, good batteries for the truck and controller and starter and glow plugs
Parts I recommend you have in your Go box, 2 glow plugs, 2 spur gears, 1 set of slipper pads.
A 6V hump pack for the RX & new AA's for the TX.
I strongly recommend you preheat the Engine Block(hair drier on Hi setting) prior to start up during Break in, the 3.3 is very tight when new & the pre heat helps to loosen it up for an easier start up.
Follow the Break in procedure in the manual.
Check the slipper setting before first start up & after each shutdown during break in.
What area of the country are you in & how cold do you expect it to be by the 25th?
Thanks for the tips and suggestions guys! I'm from from pa near the heartbreaking eagles stadium. The weather is 35 one day and 60 the next so it's hard to tell wat the temp will be on the 25th. What are Rpm and FLM parts? Slipper pads?
Rpm and FLM are upgrades sorry that was future upgrades lol, slipper pad go behind the spur gear for the slipper clutch, also I would keep a few tools too
Slipper pads, Stock replacements.
Heavy Duty replacements.
RPM makes replacement arms & skid wear plates, very tough & well worth it when you need to replace broken stock parts.
Look at the 2.5R/3.3 parts.
The reason I ask about temp in your area as you will get the best breakin results by doing the breakin when the outside temp is 50°F or higher as breakin is a heat cycling method & it is critical to do the breakin correctly for engine longevity.
