2wd or 4x4
Hey guys I'm looking into getting a slash for bashing and maybe a little racing with my friend... He has 4x4 slash brushless ad I'm wondering what I should get? I want brushless but don't know if I should go 2wd or 4? I have a t-maxx but I want something to have a fair race with my friend because my maxx kicks his butt :P suggestions? I heard 2wd hard to control? Is that only on track? Also should I build up a roller or buy rtr new ok Black Friday if their deal?
The 2wd is only hard to control if you don't know how. LOL. The 4x4 is much more forgiving getting on the throttle out of ( or in ) a corner. Looser the surface the more control you need. To make it fair get the 4x4. And the new rally is a lcg 4x4 slash!!!
Saying that you think I should get a 4x4? Also I'm not sure if I'd like to spend money on new so should I find rtr or roller and build up? I dont need a transmitter because I already got 3ch for my t maxx or will I ? Can I bind 2 to a tx?
You should get a 4x4 for sure. I'm planning to build my Rally into a short course dirt racer for next year. I don't think you'll keep up with your friend if you buy a Sl2sh.
Ok next question their are a couple different vxls what are differences?
If you can swing it cash wise
The new Platinum is the way to go
The downside to 4x4 is a little more maintenance. VS the 2wd.
Still slightly more of a 2 wheel drive fan.
I have both, I like them both, but they are different driving experiences.
I like the 4x4 for bashing, I run a CC SCT 3800 system in it, love the power, and it will go through just about anything.
I like the 2x4 on the track, it is easier to control and I spend a lot less time rolling it back over.
Between the two, I'd get the Rally and put a Slash body on it. The one killer of both Slashes is the high CG, the Rally fixes this issue.

There is the 1/16 and the 1/10 size... that's the difference.

Thats why I would recommend the New 6804R, it has the the LCG chassis.
