Dos the Rally run the same size bearing in the motor mount as the slash?
I ask this because I want to convert my slash in to an LSG slash using this chassis and the slash is known to rip that bearing out constantly. I had to upgrade to a better motor mount with a larger bearing in order to keep from killing them every other pack.
Is any one planing on making a motor mount for the Rally?

Everyone is hoping this one holds up really well. I'd still be interested in a King Headz with the larger bearings and alloy mount.
Really, so the slash 4x4s go threw motormount bearings....I too hope that my rally motormount bearings hold better then the slash 4x4. I don't know how much the convertion would cost but just looking between the 2, parts wise it might cost alot.
Just put a better quality bearing in there.
Converting to the Rally chassis cost about $75. A lot less then any other LCG chassis option out there.
My slash killed the stock motor mount bearing on pack 3. I averaged about 3-4 packs on them before I bout a better mount with larger bearing. Now I get 15-20 packs out of them before the bearing gets lose and I replace it with a fresh one.
I was wondering if that mount was different.
Any one here of a mount being made yet?
Still pretty early for a mount to be built. It would likely come from a company like kingheadz first though. Ill buy one as soon as one is available. I think its pretty much a necessary upgrade for this drivetrain.
I ran well over 100 packs through the hpi bearing and plastic mount in my platinum slash. I saved a lot by going that route. You guys can do what you please, but if the bearing is the problem, try upgrading just that first...

You must not be running in dusty dirty places then.
This is what happens when you run in the dust and sand a lot.
I know a guy that runs only on pavement and has put over 100 packs threw the stock bearing.
But for thous of us that run in the dust, dirt,sand and so on the bearings don't last long at all. Even the best bearings don't.
I tried several "upgraded bearings" and I got 1-3 more packs out of them over the stock one but that was it.
The larger uprated bearing in the aluminum mounts lasts longer. and the aluminum mount helps with heat.
6 months of a racing season. + bashing the entire time, 90% off road. I just clean that area completely after every bash/race, and use a quality bearing. The track was hardpack with a dusty covering, and my bashing was in a dry dirt lot and on baseball diamonds. If you take care to clean it, and upgrade the bearing, that wont happen... If you dont replace that bearing with a better quality one, and neglect to clean the upgraded one, they will fail.
the heat is caused when the bearing locks up, or a slipper is too loose. If you take care of it, that doesn't come into play. You cannot expect any bearing to last if you neglect that area, as that bearing takes very high loads.
