New stuff for the Slash
I have some new items that I thought I would share with you guys. First off I bought the ANZA -5° kingpin caster blocks. Installation was straight forward, and it looks very nice. I also picked up some Associated battery straps so I could use my 3s pack. I also wanted some new "truck" tires for the Raptor body. I was going to get the Trencher SC's but they only had 1 set in stock, so I opted for the Proline Switch tires. I also picked up a set of DE Racing Trinidad rims for a Losi TEN-SCTE since they are 0 offset and will work with the Protrac setup. I like the looks of the rims and tires, but I think I will still go for the Trenchers when they are available. Here are some pictures.
Looks good. And +1 on the body, I may need to borrow that look.

Sweet looking and a nice set of tires and wheels to top it off. NIce mono color scheme too:thumbup:
I like the look of it also. I may run at the local indoor dirt track with my old Slash body.
Is that a traxxas body? SO nice. this makes me want to convert MY anza slash to a general bashing truck like yours. It just looks sweet.
What effect do you think those castors have on the truck? I bought the 0 degree ones because I didnt know what effect they would have. What do you think?
Pave- Yup, it's the Traxxas Raptor body. Thanks for the props. Check my other thread out and you can see the stability is great at high speed. Unfortunately, I flipped it on its lid. I think my 3s days are over.

When the -5 degree caster blocks are installed, the vehicle will have a
caster angle of 25 degrees.
• 25 degrees of caster will make the truck stay fl atter during
turns. The vehicle will be easier to control entering high speed
corners, and will not turn into the corner as hard as when the
0 degree caster blocks are installed. This typically makes the
vehicle feel more predictable.
When the optional 0 degree caster blocks are installed, the vehicle will
have a caster angle of 30 degrees.
• 30 degrees of caster will make the truck easier to drive and feel
Use the included spacers to adjust the height of the pivot ball to change
the camber gain and roll center.
• Raising the pivot ball will increase camber gain and lower the
roll center, providing more steering but reducing stability.
Use the included spacers to adjust the height of the steering block to
change the roll center.
• Using the spacer on bottom of the steering block will raise the
roll center and typically make the steering less grabby in the
middle of the corner which helps to maintain corner speed and
positive control of the vehicle.
• Using the spacer on top of the steering block still provides a
higher roll center over the stock setting of your vehicle but
typically provides more steering in the middle of the corner than
with the steering block in the upper position while still having
increased corner speed and stability.
