My tmaxx build
Woohoo I picked up some Holden horizon aluminium bulks that I picked up for only $50 a chassis brace This is my build for my basher I have rpm arms all the way around traxxas big bore shocks and a 1972 chevy body that I have to pain yet. I picked up red and black. I was thinking the front red half then pinstriping it into the black rear end so it flows good. Everything should be done by Friday and I will post pictures for you guys. Oh and also waiting for rpm wearplatrs that are on order. This is almost all I can think of to bulletproof it. Any ideas anyone? All input appreciated
well if your a basher maybe adding the ofna violator tank, the stock tank cracks easily.( i still have my stock only because its not cracked yet) but yea put up pics when your done, i wanna see it :P
you could 2 tone it top and bottom vs. the front and back still seperated by a pinstripe.
more upgrades id recomend
lunsford rasing titanium hinge pins
ofna violator tank
cvd axles all the way around
aluminum shock towers
50w shock oil and rc raven duel rate springs (big bore springs are softer than stock, and both are way to soft)
5 cell hump pack and ditch the AA tires
Proline badland tires
upgraded steering servo
tonys screwz through out entire rig
forward only conversion if it has reverse.
Nope no reverse. It already has rpm shock towers so I'll defiantly be buying aluminium after/if they break. My GH bulks take a certain hing pin. Do you know if Lunsford makes pins for that kind. I'll also be getting a newer tank when it breaks. My stock one surprising hasn't broke yet. I've heard horror storries about the steel cvd axles. I thought they wound bend really easily, does anyone have any personal experience with em? @naturalstrike. Yep for sure I hope to be done by Saturday I have to go pick up a dremel set tomorrow to sand the body.
Agh great, I tore down my front end and installed my GH bulks only to realising the pins that came with em aren't long enough to go through the upper a arms. I guess a have no choice but to switch to the stock ones. That's a bummer and my steering arms don't even clear the hinge pin so it only turns half way.. And the hobby shop is 4 hours away.... Greeaaat

Time to order it from the net, @$4 a gallon it's cheaper to ship it in then go & get it. :)
i responded with my opinions in bold

Thats the body Ive been thinking about getting.
You should get it I think it looks good
looks like a good paint job man. tip for next time though..... sand around the bottom of body where you made your cuts better. i can see all the rough edges. but i like the paint job man, looks slick!
I saw it painted in green and black. It looked sick.

Thanks. I know she's pretty rough, the baby was sleeping and I was getting impatient lol
Whats the deal on the shorty antenna? I think my t maxx is shorter, will that body fit? Once my trucks dialed in, Id like to make some adjustments so that its a better jumper.
Are the cvd axles for performance or reliability.
the shorty antenna is for the 2.4ghz radio system. if your still running the old AM you will need the longer one otherwise you will lose signal easy.
So where do you find these rc raven duel rate springs? I picked up the oil. What does a 2.4 ghz radio system go for?
cheapest place would be to shop around on ebay for all of it. you can get it all there or go through other sites like rc ravens website itself which i think is just the name with .com on the end of it
Thanks Graves, Ill check it out.
i picked up a set of tony screwz along with a OFNA violator tank that is going on tonight
Great job on the paint! Looks good!
I have the same body two tone with blue and silver.
today i installed a steel center driveshaft thanks to Wildman4910
Offset proline trenchers on the way!! So excited took 12 days, they just cleared customs today!
Yeah looks really good:thumbup:

Can anyone recommend a stronger steering servo that works with this I'm only
Looking to spend 40-$60 on a servo. Also anyone know of a good hump pack
that works with the eZ start charger?
Savox 0251mg. 40 shipped on ebay.

What kind of torque does that put out vs the stock one?I don't know much about servos
Nvm Itss 222.0 oz of torque
ok so i put got my trenchers in yesterday i wrapped them with 2 wraps of duct tape then glued them onto desperdo 1/2" offset wheels horrrible glue job by the way, way too much glue but oh well. i also put on some RPM wearplates and i fixed my broken antenna tube and changed it to A neon type colour
the tires l;ook funny because i dont have my 17mm hub adapters yet they should be here by tuesday
heres a re-list of upgrades
big bore shocks with a variety of springs
RPM shock towers
steel center drive shaft
du-bro in line fuel filter
OFNA violator fuel tank
GH aluminum bulks front and rear
tony screw kit
pro-line 1972 chevy body
17mm hex adapters (in the mail)
proline 3.8 trenchers on desperado rims with 1/2" offset
also a metal geared hi torque servo in the mail
comments and ideas are welcome :)
what did you do to fix th steering problem i just put new bulks on my maxx and now my crank is hitting on the screw heads from th earms
I sanded a little bit off of my bellcranks to make room. If you have the tools the safer thing to do would be to cut the hinge pin
Really liking that paint scheme.

I'm sorry but promised my gf I'd hang with her tonight. I can get a pic for you tomorrow. I shaved off quite a bit to get it to work. I'd strongly recommend just grinding down the a arm pin. But I'll defiantly get a pic up for you tomorrow
hereyou go its as big as i could make it
ok thanks i think i got mine working now
