What do you like about the HPP hexes?
Hopefully a roller tonight
Time to get to work hopefully roller pics later tonight
looks like your gonna have a long night ahead of you. keep as posted on your progress.
Of to a good start looks like...also id reconsider steel cv I've got the mip with the rpm arms they will not stop bending. The summit axles will keep you going for awhile.
For the above question the HPP hexes have a nice snug fit no slop & the wheel nut has a built on washer that keeps a good snug fit to the wheel.
The dying of the arms will take the longest
Well it's not gonna be a roller tonight tomorrow night hopefully girlfriends aunt and kids came over hard to get work done with a 6 and 8 year old runnin around
Yeah its best to let the parts soak in dye over night..so I've heard
Got this much done a arms dyed and rear of truck partially put together my hopes are to have it done by mid April gotta wait to buy motor and tires have bills and rent to pay any who on to a couple pica
But I want to arleast get it in roller form
Very unique in a good way! Keep posting updates. I learn a lot from you guys. For example, in reading 87 GN's build thread, I realized that I didn't change to the outer position on the steering servo horns when I changed to the long throw stop. Of course it's in the manual 87 GN keeps referring to. I was wondering why it didn't seem to turn any sharper. It turns sharper now.
That looks really cool...I guess you taped the white off before dye?
Well its a roller kinda still need to get tires but here are some pics first one is of the parts removed or changed
Some pics of the truck and a better pic of the a arms you can actually see the blue
Next up is get some carbon fiber sheet and make a servo delete plate and som chassis braces and buy electronics
Yes taped the white then dyed blue then taped that then did the black I wish the blue wasn't so dark but they still look cool IMO

Great idea on those a arms, would be cool to try that with a fresh chassis sometime.. What type of tape did you use?

Good olle duct tape. Any one know where I can get some carbon fiber sheet looked locally around where I live can't find any. I'll get on line if I have to but I'd rather get from a store where live which is in the Portland oregon area any body have any ideas of where to get it wether its on line or in the Portland area
Well I ordered my wheels and tires maximizer bead locks in white will be dyed to match the arms and pro line mashers was thinking trenchers but they where to big don't want that much mass trying to keep stres on the drive train down. I learned my lesson with mmm powered summit with 40 series roc lox it was cool butt was replacing axles or rebuilding riffs every run
what are HPP hexes? and what axles should i use?
Type hpp hexes or hpp germany into google seach..traxxas summit axles is what most people recommend.
Yeah the trenchers are some large tires which require throttle control
