Im running HPI monster SS wheels with custom foams. 3s ***** lipos in parallel. I tapped my phone to my merv and did 1 pass and it only went 37.51mph. I didnt do more because it handled like crap with all that extra weight on it lol. Its slower than youd think because i run a lower KV motor. I might put my CC 4600kv motor in it just to see the difference. Once i get better at driving ill try my 33t pinon. And if i can keep the wheels on the ground ill but a 35T pinion.

Replacements arrived today.
Just ordered my 3s mini lipo so i can convert my fs gt3b so it can use lipos.. going to save alot of money on batteries now.. can spend that money on upgrades lol..

I put a Chevy silverado body on her. Painted flat black.
Put my Castle 4600 1406 back in it to give it another chance. I still like the velineon 3500 more. Runs a whole lot cooler and i did speed runs and the 3500 only went 1mph slower than the CC.

Korn, I really think you will be the "reviewer/salesman" that puts me into the 3500 instead of a castle!!
I really keep wanting to give the CC motor another chance to find something i like about it. But i really cant find anything about it that is better than the velineon 3500. Only think i can find soo far is that its lighter than the 3500. Other than that the 3500 is better than the cc in every think i can think of IMO.

Dropped the screw from the servo after the backflip lol, put it back in adjusted some things took it for some runs up and down the street for a while, almost murdered my daughter (tipsy moment) other than that tried to justify the new push rod and toe links lol that I will be buying next week. Today I installed my HR transmission case and HR steel tranny gears. I'll post some pics later today. My car is all done now... there aren't any more mods to be done.
welll, today is the rc race and high jump contest. gonna be a blast but thank god its at the local hobby shop, cause im sure ill have broken parts after jumping 30+ ft in the air ;)
I tested out my new gearing/heat sink setup. On 2s with Dirt Hawgs, doing speed runs up and down the street, geared 28/45, and a freshly mounted heat sink to my Neu 1110-1y, I saw max temps of 165. That's pretty good for here outside of Houston.
Running steel gears in the tranny makes such a scary noise going down the street. I love the way it screams, so I'm going to try a steel pinion/spur setup.

I installed some +25 extentions and replaced the steering part that met it's end after a high speed interaction with a rock wall. I was amazed the stock carriers survived but I have GH ones in the parts bin for when they do let go.

The puddle was about 20cm deep. In a dirt area just before the concrete curb on the left, i used as mini ramp.
So she got fully submerged, you can see a load of water comming out at the rear from under the body.
The diy waterproofing seem to hold up well. :)

I second Togo, after going with RPM because they were available at the time, they are not typical RPM great value. I do think they are a great improvement over stock, however I only have them on the rear wheels so not as much wear 'n tear ....back there.

I was told how bad they were. I bought them anyway coz i needed them.
I wrecked and the pillows popped out. If I had aluminum it would have cost me 2 a arms at the least.
RPM FTW (that means For The Win to any rambunctious mods).
Doubt it... but everyone is entitled to their opinion.
I have had kids hit the tire on a stake at full throttle... at about 50 MPH.

The Calibers beeing slightly smaller then the Dirt Hawgs, i hope i can run on/offroad in one session without the need to regear. And to save some diffs from the Gladiators. <_<
I wouldn't run the calibers on road too much. Will wear too fast
Yep, i plan to run them on hard and loose dirt/sand and short grass.
The calibers have a cross-rib profile on the inside anyway. So no chance to tape them, and onroad with lipo and untaped tyres, well we all know how that goes..:eek:
I think the Gladiators use the same M3 compound from Proline as these Calibers.
And they held up better on concrete then i initially thought, still try to avoid that too. :rolleyes:
But these Truggy tires are way too heavy and large for my needs i found out.
You HAVE to tape the calibers, trust me. They're M3 compound so their softness will let them balloon worse than M2 (dirt hawg). The ribbing inside of them won't affect your taping, just massage the tape onto the tire to get it properly seated. The Calibers are just barely smaller than Dirt Hawgs, 3.4" compared to 3.5" so regearing won't be necessary.
I have a pair of holeshot m4 compound same ribs my tape held up fine!

I taped my Dirt Hawgs with 1 layer of some white Duct tape style stuff.
On 2S it hold up good. On 3S on the front -well.. Was a Re-Glue job.
I now have some heavy duty packaging tape with glasfibers cross-woven in.
Might try that for the Calibers.
After cutting the inserts so that the tirey sits flat on the wheels, i'll use medium thick CA this time as opposed to the thin stuff that bonds everything in mere nanoseconds. ;)
