Clipless Body Mounting
Slash 4X4’s tough clipless body holds firm no matter how rough the action gets. Heavy-duty latches grip the body tightly, but release in just seconds to access the chassis. Slash’s hidden latching system replaces time-consuming and inconvenient body clips with large, reinforced panels to resist pull-through damage.

Clipless Convenience
Slash 4X4’s innovative clipless body features secure mounting with quick and easy removal. No posts, no clips—just drop the body onto the chassis and snap it into place for a secure hold. When it’s time to change the battery, depress the tabs under the wheel wells and lift up to access the chassis in just seconds.
Modular Simplicity
A modular chassis design allows the entire front section to be removed with just 5 screws, and the rear assembly with just 4 screws. In less than a minute using a power screwdriver, you have full access for easy service and adjustment.

Heavy Duty Turnbuckles
Heavy duty adjustable steel turnbuckles allow trackside camber and toe tuning for greater agility and high-speed performance. Captured rod ends provide unmatched durability and they won't pop off in a race.
Oil-Filled Ultra Shocks
Slash 4X4's oil-filled Ultra Shocks utilize X-rings for a perfect seal and super-smooth performance. Adjust the ride height and pre-load on the white powder-coated progressive springs with the included spacer clips. Ultra Shocks are fully tunable with a wide range of oils, springs, and pistons available.
Long Wheelbase Chassis
A long 12.75″ wheelbase chassis increases Slash 4X4's high-speed stability and straight-line performance. The interlocking modular chassis is smooth on the bottom with nearly 3 inches of center ground clearance to avoid snagging and high centering.
Integrated Chassis Nerf Bars
Tough integrated chassis nerf bars offer side body support to help absorb the racing impacts of fender-to-fender track competition or backyard bashing.
Fixed Gear Adapter
Slash 4X4 has huge amounts of seemingly bottomless, ultra-plush suspension travel to swallow up jumps and delivers incredible rough-track control. Performance-optimized suspension components provide maximum articulation without binding or interference.
Velineon 3500 Motor
A sensorless Velineon 3500 kV motor delivers extreme performance with nearly zero maintenance. Ultra high-temperature Neodymium magnets, high-speed bearings, and a precision, 4-pole balanced rotor deliver smooth running and long life.
VXL-3s ESC
The waterproof Velineon VXL-3s speed control is packed with technology to deliver maximum power. Large heat sink, integrated on/off switch, and three programmable drive profiles top the feature list. Two-stage low voltage detection allows full LiPo compatibility, including powerful 11.1-volt 3s LiPo packs!

Waterproof Receiver Box
A waterproof receiver box keeps Slash 4X4's receiver safe and dry while still allowing easy access for maintenance. The antenna and servo wires route neatly through a patented water-tight seal for true all-weather fun.
5-Channel Receiver with Failsafe
Integrated telemetry ports in the receiver transmit real-time data to the TQi transmitter when using the Traxxas Link™ App and telemetry sensors (sold separately). In the event of signal loss, the receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last steering position.
Digital Steering Servo
Slash 4X4 VXL’s extreme speed and quick reflexes require a steering servo that’s both strong and fast. The included digital high-speed, high-torque servo features ball bearings for precise control and quick reflexes.
BFGoodrich Tires and SCT Wheels
Slash 4X4's BFGoodrich® tires have excellent grip in the dirt and just the right amount of slide on pavement. Their authentic scale appearance and realistic performance add to the racing experience. The tires come mounted and pre-glued to 2.2″ replica short course wheels.
Traxxas High-Current Connector
The patented High-Current Connectors funnel maximum power to the vehicle’s electronics. High-Current Connectors also provide the quickest, safest charge for Traxxas batteries.
Adjustable Battery Hold-Down
Slash 4X4’s adjustable battery hold-down accommodates a wide variety of batteries from NiMH packs to powerful 3-cell LiPo batteries. The extended battery tray allows the packs to be positioned forward or backward for front/rear weight bias tuning. An optional battery expander kit (sold separately) is available for use with oversize batteries.
Dual Bellcrank Steering with Servo Saver
Slash 4X4’s dual-bellcrank design pivots smoothly even in the harshest conditions. An integrated cam-type servo saver protects the steering servo from crash impacts without sacrificing steering precision
Heavy Duty Suspension Arms
Molded from our toughest composite material, Slash 4X4’s heavy duty suspension arms provide just the right amount of flex to resist breaking—even in cold weather! From skate parks to 10-foot ramps, these suspension arms stand up to even the most punishing drivers for non-stop fun behind the wheel.
Hex Hardware
Slash’s hex-drive hardware provides a more positive and secure connection than other fasteners. The black-oxide coating provides a rust resistant high-tech look and feel.
Clipless Race Replica Body
Slash now gets a clipless polycarbonate body styled to look just like full-size race trucks. Four tough latches grip the body tightly for intense action, but release in just seconds for quick battery changes. Slash bodies come pre-painted with applied decals, making Slash Ready-To-Race® as soon as you are.
Scale Front and Rear Bumpers
Slash’s front and rear bumpers mount solidly to reinforced bulkheads to absorb impacts. The tube-style bumpers offer rugged protection while looking the part of a true short course race truck.
Extreme Suspension Components
Slash 4X4 comes outfitted with the Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit already installed for ultimate strength and durability. The axle carriers, C-hubs, steering blocks, and shock towers are beefed up with more material and stronger construction.
Upgraded Slipper Clutch
Slash 4X4’s slipper clutch features larger alloy pressure plates and high-temperature aluminum pads for superior power handling. The slipper clutch delivers equal power distribution front to rear for instant throttle response through the drive system and aggressive four-wheel-drive grip.
Large 32-Pitch Gears
