Ergonomic Design
The TQi transmitter is precisely balanced with a natural feel, ample grip area, and molded thumb rest for total comfort, even during all-day driving sessions. The wide throttle trigger and foam steering wheel provide comfortable, precise control. The four-channel transmitter features a rocker switch placed for easy thumb access.
High Output Signal For Maximum Range
The TQi 2.4 GHz transmitter pumps out a strong, clear signal for optimum range. The 13 millisecond frame rate and near zero latency results in instant steering and throttle response with precise, smooth control. TQi features an internal antenna, so there are no visual obstructions or external devices to break off.
Simple 2-Button Interface
Use the free Traxxas Link app to adjust your drive effects graphically on your mobile device or the simple two-button programming built into the transmitter. MENU and SET allow you to navigate to the functions you wish to adjust, and the Status LED confirms each selection.
Multi-Function Knob
TQi allows you to assign a variety or performance parameters to the Multi-Function knob for easy, on-the-fly adjustment. From the factory, the Multi-Function knob controls steering sensitivity. The knob can also be set to control Throttle Sensitivity, Steering Percentage, Braking Percentage, and Throttle Trim. The Multi-Function knob can also be locked to prevent unwanted setting changes.
5-channel Micro Receiver with Fail Safe Security
The TQi micro receiver’s Link button makes it fast and easy to bind the receiver, and the two-color LED indicates power-on and bind status. Traxxas Link Model Memory allows the receiver to recognize up to thirty TQi Traxxas Link enabled transmitters—just switch on and drive! In the event of signal loss due to an accidental switch-off or depleted batteries, the receiver will automatically return the throttle to neutral and hold the last commanded steering position.
Steering and Throttle Sensitivity (Expo)
The Multi-Function knob can be programmed to control Steering and Throttle Sensitivity. This is a powerful tuning aid that can help you turn faster with more consistent lap times. When set for minimum sensitivity, steering or throttle response is linear: the steering or throttle response will correspond exactly with the input from the transmitter's steering wheel. Turning the Multi-Function knob clockwise will decrease steering or throttle sensitivity by making the servo less responsive near neutral, with increasing sensitivity as the servo nears the limits of its travel range. The farther you turn the knob, the more pronounced the change in steering servo movement will be.
Steering Dual Rate
The Multi-Function knob can be set to control the amount of servo travel applied to steering. Turning the Multi-Function knob fully clockwise will deliver maximum steering throw; turning the knob counter-clockwise reduces throw. Setting Dual Rate allows only as much steering throw as needed for a track's tightest turn, making the vehicle easier to drive throughout the rest of the course. Reducing steering throw can also be useful in making a vehicle easier to control on high-traction surfaces, and limiting steering output for oval racing where large amounts of steering travel are not required.
Steering and Throttle End Points
The TQi transmitter allows you to limit a servo's travel range in both directions independently for steering and throttle. This is useful when a servo can turn further than the mechanical limits of its linkage. The end point adjustment settings allow you to electronically limit the maximum travel of the servo to prevent binding and stress on the servo and linkage. Note: Steering Percentage or Braking Percentage functions will not override the End Point settings.
Steering and Throttle Sub-Trim
The Sub-Trim function is used to set precisely the neutral point of the steering or throttle servo if setting the trim knob to "zero" does not completely center the servo. When selected, Sub-Trim allows finer adjustment to the servo output shaft's position for precise setting of the neutral point. This is particularly useful for high-speed vehicles that require laser-straight tracking when the steering wheel is at neutral.
Operates On Just 4 AA Batteries
The TQi transmitter requires only four AA alkaline batteries to deliver premium long-range control. That saves money and reduces the weight of the transmitter for all-day driving comfort.

TQi radio systems connect wirelessly to your device with the Bluetooth wireless module for easy handheld access to all your radio system's features. This eliminates the need for traditional button menus.
Change Radio Settings
The TQi radio system is equipped with a wide range of adjustment and tuning features. The Traxxas Link app provides an intuitive, high-definition graphical user interface to make and save your custom settings in just seconds. Reverse a servo direction, adjust the level of TSM, or fine tune the steering rate or braking percentage with just a few taps of the screen.
Program the Multi-Function Knob
The TQi's Multi-Function knob can be programmed to perform a variety of different functions, such as fine tuning your steering or throttle sensitivity on the fly.
Store, View, and Manage Settings
Your custom settings are recalled automatically for up to 30 models when you power on the vehicle and transmitter. There's no need to fumble with crude interfaces that require you to find and select which vehicle you want to run.
View Real-Time Telemetry
Telemetry is relayed wirelessly to your device so that while you focus on driving, a friend can keep you updated on speed, temperatures, and battery voltage, all live and in real time. Tuning adjustments can even be made while driving. Driving solo? No worries... Traxxas Link records the telemetry data for playback later.
View Accurate Speed Data
Install the optional GPS Module 2.0 into the Telemetry Expander 2.0 (sold separately) and the Traxxas Link app delivers incredibly accurate speed results that are unaffected by factors such as gear ratio and tire spin.
View Gradient and Sidehill Angle
The inclinometer displays your vehicle’s forward and side angles graphically as you drive with an additional readout in degrees. Learn your vehicle’s tip-over point and set the warning threshold to alert you when your vehicle is approaching its maximum angle.
Turn Training Mode On and Off
If you're handing your transmitter off to someone who hasn't driven before, select Training Mode to cut the power and speed in half until the new driver is familiar with the control.
Control Pro Scale Lighting
