Traxxas' Andrew Caddell Scores
Back-to-Back Pro Light Wins!

Crandon race fans enjoyed another day of epic short-course racing action as Round 9 of the TORC series tore up The Big House. Andrew “Ace” Caddell was the best-finishing Traxxas driver of the day with another holeshot-to-checkers win, a virtual repeat of his domination in Friday’s Round 4 makeup race. The win put another $5000 Traxxas check in Caddell’s pocket, but the Maxx Lap $1000 bonus went to second-place finisher Brian Deegan of Metal Mulisha fame. Deegan also earned $2,500 in Traxxas bucks, and Brad Lovell brought a check for $1,500 back to the pits.

In Pro 2WD action, Traxxas’ Jeff Kincaid rocketed into turn one with another holeshot and held the lead through the mid-race yellow, only to pull off with transmission trouble a few laps into the second half of the race. With Jeff out of commission, the race was left to new front-runner Chad Hord, who fell to second behind Bryce Menzies. Marty Hart battled through the field to claim the final podium spot.

Storm clouds darkened the sky for Saturday’s final race, but the only thunder heard was from the roar of the Pro 4X4s as they came into view to the crowd’s cheers. Traxxas’ Mark Jenkins raced strong to stay in the top for much of the race before falling to sixth after a trip to the hot pits, one position ahead of brother and fellow Traxxas Pro 4X4 racer Mike Jenkins. Mike and Mark held their positions to the finish as Adrien Cenni scored his second Pro 4X4 win in an impressive showing for “The Wildman.”

TORC racing action continues tomorrow with Traxxas drivers racing in Super Buggy, Pro Light, Pro 2WD and Pro 4X4 competition, plus the Amsoil Cup--Pro 2WD vs. Pro 4X4! Watch the action LIVE online!
