Traxxas Pro Circuit rider Tyler Bowers
wows at Houston Supercross
Traxxas and the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit/Kawasaki team headed to Houston's Reliant Stadium in Houston, TX this past weekend for the 7th round of the 2013 Monster Energy Supercross 250SX East series. Because of East Coast riders Darryn Durham, Dean Wilson and Justin Hill out due to injury, the Pro Circuit team signed recent Arenacross champion Tyler Bowers to fill in. The #68 machine rode strong all day posting a great qualifying time along with awesome rides in his heat and main event races.
Tyler Bowers - Riding Strong
Bowers started the day off well setting the 3rd fastest lap time in the 250 class while looking comfortable on the challenging Houston track. In his heat race, Tyler finished 2nd which earned him a good gate pick for the main event. In the main, Tyler had to dodge another rider who had fallen in front of him in the first corner forcing the Pro Circuit rider to turn right when everyone else turned left. After a setback in the first corner, Bowers fought through the pack, and by the halfway point had already moved into the top five. In the end, Bowers crossed the finish line in 4th earning his career-best finish in the 250SX class.
Up Next - Minneapolis Supercross
Traxxas and the Pro Circuit team head to the Metrodome in Minneapolis, MN this Saturday on April 13th for the 8th round of the 250SX East series in hopes of gaining another top finish.
