Monster Energy Cup 2012
The 2012 Monster Energy Cup marks Traxxas’ first year as the official and exclusive hobby class radio control sponsor. Traxxas has also been the official and exclusive hobby class radio control sponsor of the Monster Energy Supercross, an FIM World Championship, as well as Monster Jam® since 2011. Also, with Traxxas’ commitment to this year’s Monster Energy Cup, for the first time ever, the Traxxas Scoring Tower will provide the riders and fans with the ability to track their positions during the races.
“The Monster Energy Cup is a great opportunity for Traxxas and we are excited to participate, not only as a sponsor, but as tremendous fans of the sport,” said Mike Jenkins, President of Traxxas. “Traxxas radio controlled models are such a great fit for the competition, performance, and lifestyle that are part of the Monster Energy Cup experience. The Traxxas team will be there in force so everyone can check out the high-flying product demos as well as test their own driving skills on our Try-Me-Track.”
Traxxas’ presence will also be known throughout the pit party on the day of the Monster Energy Cup. Their products, specialists and demonstrators will be on-site as well as their interactive try-me-track at their display for the thousands of fans.
“Feld Motor Sports is very pleased to have Traxxas as a sponsor for the 2012 Monster Energy Cup,” said Dave Prater, director of the Monster Energy Cup. “With their continued commitment with Monster Energy Supercross and Advance Auto Parts Monster Jam we are extremely pleased to have them on board for this prestigious event.”
But wait, there’s more… Not only are we sponsoring the event, but the list of Traxxas-supported riders racing the MEC reads like a who’s-who of motocross. You may already know Blake Baggett, the 2012 AMA Professional Outdoor Motocross 250 Champion will be there. But fellow Traxxas Pro Circuit rider Dean Wilson will make his return to racing after spending most of the season sidelined with injuries.
