Don't Miss the Traxxas Nitro Shootout
at Texas Motorplex!

Traxxas and NHRA are pleased to announce that the Traxxas Nitro Shootout for Funny Car will be run this Saturday at the AAA NHRA Fall Nationals at the Texas Motorplex. Originally scheduled during the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals in Indianapolis three weeks ago, the race-within-a-race was rained out. What better place to run the make-up Shootout than Traxxas’ home state of Texas. NHRA Senior Vice President of Racing Operations Graham Light said “We are excited that the Texas Motorplex can host the event which will now take place in the shadow of the Traxxas company headquarters and in front of the many Traxxas employees in the area.”

And talk about local support... Ennis, Texas has declared Saturday September 22, 2012 to be Traxxas Nitro Shootout Day!

The Traxxas Nitro Shootout will feature eight of the very best funny cars contending for the $100,000 first prize. The entire John Force Racing team qualified, including John Force, Courtney Force, Robert Hight, and Mike Neff. Also qualified are Ron Capps, Jeff Arend, Jack Beckman, and Johnny Gray. The scheduled pairings in the first round are Courtney Force/Ron Capps, Robert Hight/Jeff Arend, John Force/Jack Beckman, and Mike Neff/Johnny Gray.
