    How to take apart and clean the carburetor

    look i think i gunked up my carburetor and i need to know how to take it apart and clean it but i dont know how.
    T-MAXX thats how you spell RC

    First make sure the area around the carb base is CLEAN and free of debris. You don't want crud falling into your motor block. Remove you linkage and return spring (if you have one).

    Next, loosen the pinch nut that secures the carb to the motor. It's located on the exhaust side below the carb.

    Pull the carb up and out of the motor block.
    Find yourself a nice flat spot that is clean and well lit. You can now do your work on the carb.

    The HSN and LSN can be removed. Below the HSN there is a plate held on by two very small screws, this plate can be removed also. A word of caution. The carb has some very small parts and o-rings so be carefull when you take it a part. And most important...... pay attention when you tear it apart so you can remember how it goes back together.

    I use regular carb cleaner you can get at walmart for cheap.
