Thumbs up Sidewinder 8th + 2200 KV 1515B Motor Combo

I picked up this combo a couple of weeks ago as an upgrade for my brushed E-Revo and it's working great. Tons of power, wheelies on demand at nearly any speed. I'm running a big set of tires, have the Big Joe IIs with 18/62 gearing. Running hard the motor will get up to 125F and ESC fan will come on (pretty sure it comes on at 150F), but it hasn't shut itself down for being too hot yet. I'm using 4s lifepo (2 2s in series).

Can't beat the price and it's waterproof too. Worth a look if you're looking to go brushless but don't want to pay the $ for the MMM2.

Has anyone else tried this out yet? What did you think?

Looking at this esc to pair with a lower kv motor on 4s in mine... What gearing are you running, and how hot did the esc actually get? Did you temp it?

I never took the esc fan on to temp it, but I'd say it was around 150. The fan was usually on when I checked, but then shut off in less than a minute of it being idle. 150 is supposed to be the toggle temperature for the fan. I've got an 18 tooth pinion and 62 tooth spur, but also have much larger than stock tires (6.65" vs stock 5.75").

I have one on the way. Got tired of waiting for some really solid reviews.
    Should actually arrive tomorrow.

I was planning on putting it in my GTP2e RaceTruck, but after reading a few newer reviews over the last couple days i may leave the MMM/2200 in there and try the 8th in my E-Slayer Pro.

    Some good news tonight!
    Got my 8th combo today.
The ESC fits the holes on the ERBE chassis perfectly.

Hey Cameron. Have you had a chance to run it in your E-Slayer Pro yet. What are your thoughts on it so far?

Do you need a series adaptor to run 2 lipos on it or is the esc ready for 2 out of the box like the mm2?

Castle ESCs do not typically come with ANY power connectors.

You need two male Traxxas Connector and solder them in series to the ESC.
