Quite a large ESC to put in a Merv. The problem that you will have to face is to find decent batteries that deliver enough amps.
The 4600Kv on 6S is useless. That will kill it. Even 4S is above the motor specs.
If you can get the ESC under the hood, which will be a challenge, I would stick to 3S.

If you allready have a RS8 laying around why not just try to make it fit?

Castle says you can run the 4600KV up to 3S max -if the car weights below 4lbs. In a car >4lbs only 2S is recommended.
An average MERV should be around 3-3.5lbs i reckon.

As Peter mentioned: A Castle 1406 motor will draw a lot of amps. You'll really need to run batteries in parallel to supply enough power. Otherwise you might overwork them and risk to kill your lipos or your esc.

My fault i mixed the Tekin RS2 with RX2 (1/8 scale esc) ..

RS2 should fit. But the motor limit would worry me, per Tekin website:

    Motor Limit Brushless Mode 2S: 8.5 Turn 2-pole 36mm, 4lb chassis
    Motor Limit Brushless Mode 3S: 10.5 Turn 2-pole 36mm, 4lb chassis

    Castle 1406 4600KV is a 4-pole 36mm motor.

RS2 is 3S max, 6S will fry it.

Duh, meant to write RS8 and RX8 above, sorry for the needless confusion..
