    Rebuilding the rebuilt

Hey guys, I wanted to start a new thread for rebuilding my emaxx 3906 again. Many of you don't know me. So just some background info, I'm 15 years old, currently owning two emaxx 3906s, a ERBE, Slash 4x4, Tmaxx 3.3, and a bandit. Due to me being 15 and working here and there bc I'm suffering from two herniated discs in my back this build thread is going to go pretty slow but wanted to get this up and running. Anyways, I rebuilt my emaxx two years ago with 3905/3903/3908 drivetrain parts such as new axles and rpm arms and tru track suspension. I got this truck as a birthday present when I was 7 so I owned this truck for 8 years but every upgrade I put in the truck I paid for myself (was running stock everything except some tires and bodies since i was 13) and I paid for all my other trucks except for the other 3906 bc that's my dad's. When I rebuilt this two years ago I was running two kershaw designs 650s and an evx 2 no lvd, and a pair of 5000 nimhs. My plan is to take the truck fully apart and add stainless steel screws. Put a mamba monster 2 in and covert it to lipos. I have never owned lipos before so any input would be appreciated. I also would like to flip the tranny. Like I said this rebuild is going to be slow but I will try to update it as much as possible and post pics as the truck stands now ASAP. Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Thank you Chopstx! Anyways, I ordered my stainless steel screw kit from tower and some 3s lipos. Here's some pics of the Maxx as it stands.

Here's the cage on my tmaxx that used to be on my emaxx that I will be putting back on

When I was 9 I ignored my dad and drove it in the snow lol. Sorta had a fire haha and burned through the chassis

Haha ok. So when I was 9 my truck was completely stock besides some proline dish rims mounted on some bow ties. It was the year the new emaxx came out so I was really jealous bc it was waterproof. I was running 4200 nimhs that day also. So I told my dad I wanted to run my emaxx in the snow just like the new one. He told me I couldn't bc mine and his were not waterproof. We both had stock set ups. So one day I had enough. I took the truck outside and began to run it in the snow. My dad warned me and told me it was not waterproof and he wasn't paying for the damages. I was doing 360s in the driveway and that's when it happened....I lost control of the truck it hit my fence and got stuck under my boat which was on cinder blocks in the driveway. It began to smoke and next thing that I saw was this huge flame. My dad quickly went under the boat pulled it out and ran inside and grabbed a fire extinguisher. He put out the flames and that was that. A week later I got bored bc I couldn't run my truck so I decided to run my dads. Like I said they were both completely stock and not waterproof. All I remember from that day is my dad pulling in the driveway from work and he freaked out. The next day he couldn't get it running. He then later on that day bought two original evx's by Novak on eBay for both of our trucks. Till this day I feel so bad lol.

Hey guys, the truck is all put back together. I have not decided if I want to throw a mamba in as I originally planned. It began to snow today and we received a lot and it is still snowing. The emaxx was suppose to be built to be waterproof, and I cannot wait since I need to drive one of my cars I the snow. So I have put the evx-2 and kershaw designs 650s and I'm gonna run it in 7cell 5000 nimhs and wait off the lipos. Here's some pics of the truck:

Nice, My tip is to replace the motor wires, They look a little small and short. The wires coming out of esc to motors are bent over and touching the esc heatsink, because of the short length.
Looks good though, Ye gotta love the 3906.
Guide books aren't part of the packaging.

Yeah the wires are really short, I'm just waiting for them to fall off because the wires that are coming from the motors they're about to just snap off. I'm gonna replace the motor wires when they do. I love the 3906, still a sick truck to use.

Well me and my dad just sold our E-Maxx's......Sad to say it. I loved those trucks, brings good old memories with my father. But it's time to let things go and move on to new things. Owned those trucks since 2004. Now time to get some new toys for me and dad. So what do you guys think? What should we get? My dad loves the E-Maxx platform so we are looking to get two EMBE or two of something else. All input appreciated. We were also deciding to just buy one truck to share because we also have a Slash 4x4, ERBE, and a T-Maxx 3.3

Cannot go wrong with the emaxx brushless editions, What i did was buy a slightly used brushed version and sold the stock radio, servos, and esc/motors. And bought a mmm2 and 2200kv motor. Then i bought a hitec servo, and my tires of choice.
Man i need more than 50 characters.
