Just make sure you get lexan paint. There is really only like two brands. I think I used like tamiya and it works great. I did a lot of coats so it's thick.

First off wash the inside of the body with soap and water, let completely dry. I used a hair dryer on low heat to dry it faster. Next you need to mask everything you want. Do dark colors first, then move on to the lighter coats. Be careful with your masking that you don't get skin grease on the body.

Start with a very light coat (just a mist) as this is your base coat to let the paint adhere. Dry completely and then keep adding coats to your liking. I used a hair dryer again to help with drying. Don't get too hot or too close because you'll melt or warp the body. I ended up doing about 4 coats of each color and then I had extra black so I did a final overcoat on everything but you don't have to.

It's hard work, no wonder people charge so much for custom bodies!

I used cheap painters tape and it bled at the lines. Next time I would use the good painters tape with edge lock for sure.

Here is mine. My first try. I think it turned out pretty cool. After I got the stickers on it really looked nice.

If you want to try a design other than just straight lines then you can draw on the out side of the body with a fine tip marker to get a rough design after you mask the inside of the body you can use a bright light to shine through so you can see the design through the masking tape while you cut the design in the tape. After you are all painted then peel off the protective film therefore removing the sketched design also. Put down your dark colors first.
