    Finally got FLM's attention and they sent me replacement bellcrank posts. I am glad they sent two as they now have the correct diameter but the thread is completely off center. One of them was not too bad so I used one from the kit and one from the replacements I got.

    As mentioned in a previous post next challenge was to deal with another FLM design flaw: The Servo mount posts interfere with the Bellcrank. Nothing that some dremell will not solve, but yet another rework.

    Some dremel:

    And still a tight but perfect fit:

    Now I can put all together:

    I am using the hr 32 pitch 18/58 combo and very happy with it...very strong, reliable and now I swap all my pinions between other trucks. On my 2wd pede I am geared 14/58 on 3s

    ^^^^^ Thanks.

    So I finally got my DX4S and the Al Tie bar. I decided to go with one I found on eBay. I was considering the ProLine but the gold color would not work with my theme.

    Tie Bar Installed. You guys were right. It looks much better than the fiberglass.

    And the finished work!!! I decided to go with the body from a truck I bought a while ago from another forum fellow. I was planning on painting one myself but I liked the yellow.

    Still a few things left to do:

    - Aluminum body posts;
    - HR spur (I am still undecided if I will 32p or will stick with 48p);
    - Install the AVC receiver;
    - Something to protect the underneath.

    Please post some pictures when you have it all together. I was hopping they had a skid for the regular chassis but they only make for the extended.

    The cones are for the transmission protection, smaller ones are for screw protections or look.

    This is not the body I was planning to use but when I put it in the truck I kind of liked it. I may replace at a later date....

    Thx for your comments

    TBR makes the standard skid for the FLM chassis, that's what I'm running. With the full TBR skids, they work well on the FLM extended chassis, but on the standard rusty chassis, they can get in the way, of a-arm clearance. They can obstruct or inpede the actual travel of the a-arms. I tried the full TBR skid on my standard FLM chassis, and the skid wouldn't allow proper shock travel.

    Very Clean build. Well done. BTW What gearing do you plan on running with the 1406 4600kv?

    Thanks. As this is a heavy truck so I will start with 18/86 and will fine tune later.
