    Traxxas Ford Raptor

Hi everyone! first time here. I have a Traxxas ford raptor, I love it but its just lacking power for me. So.
I have decided to go brushless sometime. The velineon 3500 and vxl 3 would be best? Since I am reasonably new to RC are there any other things I will need to upgrade because of more speed?

    Gearing?
    Diffs?
    Shocks?

Also I will be towing an RC boat most of the time, so if someone could recommend good gearing for that, that would be great!

    Thanks heaps guys!

If you're new to the whole RC thing, the VXL setup is great. It's reliable, simple, and fast. If you will be towing stuff, get a temp gun so that you can monitor motor temp, grab the optional ESC fan, and go maybe 90tspur/16 pinion. I have never towed anything behind an RC car, but I figure that it must be like driving in grass or something.

Setup is gonna be a matter of personal choice and operating temps.

Thanks a lot! Could I use the 380 motor and esc from a money saving point of view?

No way! Way too much weight for a mini system.

Your talking about putting a 1/16 scale motor in a 1/10 scale truck.
Imo your asking to much of the motor just pushing the truck let alone pulling a trailer.
Imo the titan would be a better fit.
I believe the velineon 3500 geared properly would be fine with the gearing Blaster75 suggested however their are other 4 pole options that may be a better fit.
Being a castle fan imo the 3800kv 4 pole with the sidewinder witch is now waterproof at $100 is a decent deal.

Sorry Rev, I must have been typing while you posted.
