Just an idea if anybody agrees with me

Hi, I wished traxxas would make a cool retro buggy like tamiya, except with a brushless system and modern parts. Or make a mini electrical version of a like desert sandrail buggy or type thing. OR like an HPI baja 5b design. Many companies have stole this design from each other. For example the ARMA raider looks just like a HPI baja/losi 5b. Or even if traxxas could make a 1/16 scale "baby" rustler xl5/vxl.

They are already doing that, the Rusty and Pede designs are from the mid-90's, they have updated the parts and given them brushless power, but they are basically the same design.

Traxxas may buy someone else's gear and put their name on it (the quad and helo), but I have never seen them copy someone else's stuff. That would likely get them sued.

Yeah the bandit is still pretty retro. You can buy a clear body, paint it retro-style, and bam. Instant retro buggy.

I didn't really mean "stole" but meant a lot of these designs that I featured are common like my 1/10 scale rusty vxl its just a short course truck, the designs are all very alike

    I'd rather see a 4wd Rustler.

    +1

    ......or a 4wd buggy 1/10

Seems like as popular as the rustler is....they would make a 4wd rustler....or they are afraid it will take away buyers fromt the original rustler?

A 4WD drive rusty would be sick! Traxxas finally came around with the pede, hopefully they'll see the market for a 4WD rusty.

I see a lot of folks on various forums looking for something like a 1/10 truggy/stadium truck. The only offering I can find right now is the HPI Bullet ST. I know 1/8 truggy is very popular...but folks like me want something that is cheaper to purchase, cheaper to power (motor/esc/battery wise), and cheaper to repair.

Couple that desire with something as indestructible as a Rustler...and I don't see how it wouldn't be an amazing seller.

Seems like the only option right now is to convert a Slash or Stampede.

Seems like the current bandwagon is for short course trucks. I understand that RC manufacturers want to build what's popular - and it seems like stadium trucks have died off a little. But I have to assume there are people like me out there who really don't like short course, but love a stadium truck.

Not to burst anyones bubble, But this thread should be posted maybe in the about Traxxas thread. Then again, some of the discussion of non-Traxxas stuff will probably get it closed either way.

Don't get me wrong, it's sweet - and probably the direction I'll wind up going for my next RC vehicle. Although I'm not excited about the shorter wheelbase.

I'm currently between an Slash LCG 4x4 and Stampede 4x4 as a 1/10 truggy type "conversion".

    I would love to see a 4wd 1/10 or 1/8 buggy!

Also, wouldn't the 2wd mini revo based vehicles very much like what a 2wd rusty would be? At least in respect to how it would behave?
