I never said I was flying the Alias... I said I took the Alias up :-)

Not years before the Alias was introduced, you didn't.

This forum is for support and talk about the Alias, not for posting random pictures taken out of the window of an airplane. It is also not a good idea to miss represent the capabilities of the Alias. Those pictures are obviously taken at a much higher altitude than one would normally fly an Alias.

:-) Will do... But I don't think taking a picture from higher altitudes would be impossible as long as you have a way to maintain control of the Alias..

So the question becomes how far is the range on the transmitter/receiver, and how far away could you see it? Perhaps it would work if you had a camera transmitting in real time which also has the capability to transmit GPS info (Ground Track & Altitude would be great).

This way you could fly it up to altitude, take the pictures, then bring it back gps info until you could see it again. But this would be not be advisable, 400ft is as high as you are supposed to fly these things..

Is there a lightweight enough camera with built in gps that will transmit live back to a receiver? I wonder if such a thing exists..
