Looking good! What colors do you have in mind so far? Spray paint or airbrush?

Bash'n'slash, my fingers are crossed. I am trying to design something different from what I have been seeing with this particular body. It can come out good or turn out pretty bad lol.

Thanks Finkledbody, I am not on the airbrush level yet. Straight up spray paint for me lol...I am looking at about 75% Blue, 15% White, 5% Gold, and 5% Black. We will see though.

Nice job so far. I've barely graduated from monochrome white or black.

Will do Bash'n'slash. I am actually doing some marking at this very moment. Hope to paint the black portions tonight at the least.

Thanks O.G. Lol, yeah I can understand you on that. It is killing me to come up with anything more than the normal but this is my last paint job for a while so might as well try to go all out.

A change in plans. No black spray paint for this job. I decided on Gun Metal paint instead. Only problem with this change is...I just ran out of Gun Metal paint! : ( I was able to get a light coat in prior to the can emptying. I will be hitting up the RC store early tomorrow morning with the wifey for sure.

Thanks Bash'n'slash. Got some updates and changes to the design. I want to finish this thing but have work for the rest of the week. These are the days that I wish I were off lol. I use a digital caliper to try to get the lines the side on both sides. Yes, more masking. I will see about dropping some paint tomorrow.

Do my eyes deceive me? Does some one other than me prefer to keep the rear sections transparent to give the illusion of a scale rollcage? I always see people just paint them over solid and think "but it's supposed to be a roll cage"

Also sweet paint job! It reminds me a lot of Transformers Jetstorm for some reason, but that's not a bad thing.

Mann LtZerge, I though the exact same thing. Even the ones from the factory are fully painted, no wonder why most of the short course trucks I see are colored black lol. Yeah, I am totally with you! I think that it take a lot to mask that are but the resolve of a roll cage feature are much preferred than a fully sprayed trunk end for me.

Thanks mann! I just took a look at what you were referring to, that IS crazy, they do look like lol. I had no idea that there was something out there like that. Cool Transformer.

If you're ever looking for more options STRC has a nice little rainbow of beadloc rings that you may prefer the color of. They're also a lot lighter and grip the bead a bit better.

    Getting back it.

Mann, its been a while. Went on vacation for 10 days and came but to my tires that arrived in the mail. I don't know if I should keep the same ride height or slam it down a bit. Next order is the RPM back bumper so I can mount my mud flaps. Also, got a few decals on the way.

    Higher ride height:

Lower ride height. Still debating. I will see how it drive after a few runs first.

I removed the headlight stickers as well to give it a more short course truck look:

I am thinking about installing my 5700kv mamba max pro motor w/ esc but I don't want to lose my waterproof capability. Any ideas?

    Very nice, excellent paint work.
I like showing a roll cage as well but still paint it in.

the only reason I don't like them is cause it doesn't have crazy differences compared to the stock slash body where prolineis way different and you wont get tire rubs on flotek bodies

Have you gotten any runtime on those tires yet? I have to decide what tire I want to run on a loose track before I buy myself a set. I'm thinking badlands, but a more track specific tire might do better. I dunno.
