Slash 4wd King Headz install diary

Still waiting on other parts to arrive but the King Headz mount I ordered arrived yesterday. So I'm going to install it. While I'm here the rear end sounds really crunchy so I'm going to disassemble, clean and lube.

There are no instructions but this looks like a pretty straight forward swap. More pics coming as I go.

My engine is already off and as you can see so is the rear of the Slash 4wd so no pics of that part.
I like to pretend I know what I'm talking about.

Plenty simple and use a little anti-seize on the motor screw that goes into the KH mount that's locks the motor to prevent galling of threads.

Good to see that you went with the KH bearing adapter, one and done, add a Boca bearing GS, and all will be good to go.

Well that was easy. Steve: thanks for the tip on the anti seize.

Shaky: Yeah, that bearing by the plastic on the slipper is toast. Wish I'd thought ahead on that one. It's soaking now just to see if can bring it to back to life but it's time to replace it.

Sorry for the late reply. I don't see why a CC wouldn't fit. But I isn't have one. Maybe somebody else can chime in.
