    Thanks!
yep - $10 tires and rims. I can't compare them to HPI or similar cause I never tried them but they seem pretty good!

I like the Boss. I built one for a buddy of mine awhile back.

    Yours looks great.
The 2 tone paint and black wheels really compliment each other.
I wish I would have done some stripes on the one I built instead of a single color and factory decals...but it was my first rc paint job.

    Thanks for the comments guys!

I ordered two sets of wheels - one from chinatools on ebay (took them about 5-6 weeks to get here) the other set from fopower on ebay and it took them about 3 weeks to get here (so I guess fopower is the one to go with).

I didn't get the wide wheels yet, wanted to see what type of tire I'd want cause the rubber ones are just not drifty enough and I'm afraid the new LP series of HPI will be too drifty...

    Any suggestions for drift upgrades?

I hear thst locking the rear diff will help drifting. And also running rwd only.

You are having a problem getting it to drift with lipo? My rally/boss with 2s lipo in parallel, 32mmfront 35mm rear grip tires struggles for traction. I have chassis braces and thats it. It takes good throttle management. I put in a 4730kv motor and slightly shorter gearing to deal with the od of wheels. And barely any throttle to drift... I will run it with vid next time the driveway dries out..

Rear wheel drive only makes it tough to drive...the car wants to swap sides(the rear tries to outrun the front).
I have an easier time drifting with 4wd.
I think part of the problem is your tire compound. try picking up either a set of stock tires/wheels or a set of dedicated drift tires(very hard compound).
Also...addidng a little weight to the front and rear ends seems to help.

Well it drifts good but in here we don't have many places with smooth surface... mostly asphalt parking lots so I took my rubber tires and put Isolierband on all 4 tires and I'm getting some pretty decent drifts.

I'm still learning though so it isn't always (or mostly not lol) perfect. but it is so much fun!

    Btw
    1. locking rear diff means you can't unlock it later right?
    2. any way to get a higher turn angle by replacing the servo or something?

Locking with the traxxas locker makes it easy. And reversible. You can undo it after you are done drifting. But you need to take apart your car, all tge way down to the differentials.

It helps stop body roll. When one wheel goes up, the sway bar helps pull the other one up with it.

    Very nice looking car!

Now admit: how many times did you hit the table before you got these two vids?

And thanks! I took it to a skate park a few days ago, was so funny seeing a drifter gets air while drifting.
Damage was about: 3 broken rims (of the cheap kind), a small chunk of the foam is gone and the motor's fan got smashed. But it was so much fun it got me thinking I want my MERV back also. So instead of converting back, I might just get a roller... which got me thinking, can I bind the same TQI remote to 2 different cars?

Most TQI transmitters have a more model memory, so two cars with one transmitter is no problem.
