I don't know why people are so scared of lipos. Yeah they can cause fires but their not as temperamental as people think. And plus you hold them in your hands and put them on your face everyday.

Mod1 gears may be a good investment, but 32p should still work fine.

If you're using the LCG chassis, and don't have a chassis brace, the tekno big bone is a necessity when you run a mamba monster combo and large battery. All the extra weight with bend the center shaft quickly on impacts. The big bone acts as a chassis brace. The standard chassis doesn't need it though.

I'd add some heavier shock springs to your list. All the extra weight is too much for the stock springs.

Velcro is the way to go. Get a roll of double sided Velcro, cut some slits in the chassis beside the battery compartment, and you can put whatever size battery in there you want. On all my traxxas trucks, I remove the stock battery holders and install Velcro straps.

    Oh, a few more things:
    - a castle field link card
    - a servo y-adapter extension
    - stronger steering servo

The mm2 fan has it's own connector separate from the ESC. Both it and the ESC have to plug into the receiver. Using a y-adapter (or just two servo extensions), and letting the ends hang out of the receiver box, is the easiest way to quickly hook up a castle link card and remove the fan if needed. Everything's still waterproof too. Otherwise it's a pain to open the receiver box each time you want to make a change.

The stronger steering servo isn't really needed, but it helps a lot.

I have all aluminum stock sized shocks with big bore springs how much does a y adapter cost?

Do you know gearing and how fast can I go on 6s?

Y adapters are pretty cheap from some online stores. Not sure which ones I can mention, so I'll just say google it.

The stock springs on the aluminum shocks are probably not stiff enough. You'd likely need to go a step up in stiffness. Otherwise you'll be using lots of shock spacers to get the ride height right.

Srry about not getting pics up I'm waiting for some shocks to install then I will have some it's very easy. 22/50 is for speed runs for me and it gets pretty hot bashing around not doing high speed runs. What motor are you gonna use I run 19/54 with my mmp 2400 and it's perfect I could even go up to a 20 on the pinion but I don't have one.

I have another spur assembly so I'll use that for speed runs. I'll use the one in now for bashing.

12/54 is not gonna be fun. I guarantee your gonna be bored the first time you run it. Your gonna want a 20/54 or higher with 52 spur

Just depends on where you run it the best would to be get pinion gears from 17-25 I would think and get spurs from 50-54 then run the different ratios and see what works the best for you and if it runs cool enough for you fast enough etc.

I have my motor esc and receiver installed I think I'll try 19/52 first for bashing and 22/50 for speed runs. I should be testing before the end of the week.

Just leave the 50t spur in there. No sense in changing it all the time when it'll make minimal difference compared to changing the pinion.

Here you go it's fairly simple to do so. Just get cardboard lay it in the battery tray cut it to shape get thin metal or aluminum plate mark where the holes are get the screws that we used with the stock battery strap get nuts then there you go hers my pics

You need to upload your pictures somewhere online like photo bucket or something and then click the incert photo button above and paste the URL and it should work.

Because that company stole Traxxas Design ideas. Since this is a Traxxas Forum, Traxxas has banned speaking about or referring to that brand.
