Shimming my rear and front differntial going wrong?

    Hi,

I was shimming both my differential and it seems like now they are a bit stiff and clicking...
I've done like Jimmie said in his shimming post...
Start with 4, went to 3, then 2, then 1...
2 was clicking a bit but 1 was made it spin free and in the article it said it needs just a bit of force to spin, which was suitable with 2 shims...
Is it normal? or should I remove 1 shim from each?

    Thanks,

    Barak.

With new diffs, a little on the tight side is OK as they will wear into one another.

Dropped to one shim and now it goes freely.
So you say better get it tight so they will wear out into each other? Cause it sounded pretty bad..

one shim should be fine...if it wears and starts clicking again...you can add another.
