    SPC 3s Lipo

So i am wanting to buy my first 3s Lipo. I came across these 3s 40c 4300mah spc lipo batterys for 38.98 shipped. The cheap price has me a little concerned. I am wondering if any of you guys know anything about these. Oh and if you guys think this is a little to powerful for me as i am new to this hobby.

Spc makes great batteries. If you are a beginner then their 6500 mah 2s batteries should be sufficient. 3s will be faster though. I have a spc lipo and it is my favorite and most durable and powerful battery.

Stock system or anything short of a 1:8 system? They'll be fine.
As for the second part, that depends on your throttle finger and your reflexes.

I am just running the rally on all stock even gearing. I dont want my car to blow up or anything. I like to go hard on the throttle
but i dont want to kill my car either ( i mean this by the internals and electronics). I drive moderate and only on hard concrete no off road.

I already have a 5000mah 2s lipo from traxxas though it doesnt really full fill my needs of punchiness and acceleration lol

    this is the battery http://spcracingbatteries.com/index....&product_id=55

I say go for it. You can always back off the throttle if you need to. My Rally run okay on 3s... I really believe it needs 4s to really light it up. But your vxl is limited to 3s lipo.

Once you run 3s, 2s seems tame and boring. Just learn throttle control and you'll be fine.

Im good with the throttle i nailed that 5 minutes after i got the car lol but i mean im more worried about running 3s on stock everything, like damaging the internals..not from a crash but just from running 11.1v in that thing

    Thumbs up

I just ordered these same batts the 3s 4300 40c cells for my hpi truggy. I'm running 2 for 6s and I get plenty of runtime out of them and they are the same size as the 2s packs from SPC. Awesome batt's and they barely get warm running them on my 1/8 truggy so they should be fine on your rally. I've since started to phase out of other lipo's and strictly run SPC and to make these batts better the set I received have carbon fiber look to them they are awesome !

Hmmm. Did you flip the battery holder over and center the battery pack?

Ok, but there's no point in a pack banging around, is there? I take great pains, including crafting modified battery "shims", to make sure my packs don't move.

Try what ksb recommends and center the battery. It'll give you more room.

That is a good thing. You do not want a (any) battery pack slamming back and forth in the battery tray during the inevitable cartwheel-type crash.

I have one of these in my LCG Slash, which is essentially the same vehicle. You cannot go wrong with this setup. The truck flies with this battery. (Literally. Air gets under the body.)

Exactly the same Battery I am using in my rally and also I use two of these in my 1/8 truggy and it has the XO-1 motor installed. Awesome company and batts. You can't go wrong with them
Slash 4x4 and 10 other Models. Too Much !
