body shell - which one to buy?

    Hello all,
just bought myself a Slash 4x4 a couple of months ago, I am now looking to replace the shell,as its on its way out what would you recommend? - i have a Parma 55 Baja for when its in the house so girlfriend doesn't complain. Would i be better off with a Proline?

Just get whatever you think looks best, unless you're Mr. Super Racer. All of 'em are pretty good, especially with a little shoe goo/ rubberized undercoating/ duct tape/ however you choose to strengthen. The only ones I don't care for are the Parmas- they are flimsy or "racer weight".

Get whatever you like. If you're a Chevy guy, get a Chevy body. If you're a VW guy, get a Baja Bug body. If you're a Ford guy... I feel sorry for you! But get a Raptor body.

I'm a Toyota man and got the Tundra body.

I like the Flo-Tek body. Cutting the vents is a pain, and I won't cut them all if I do another one. But, on the track and road it handles really well and improves stability in the air:

I'm still digging these "bulletproof" bodies! For asphalt and skatepark bashing I think they are awesome. Slightly heavier you may need to play with springs to get it to handle like you want, but well worth it imo.

That's way sick. I bet its heavy, but way solid. Very nice. I'm gonna do something like that.

I like the high wheel arches on the tundra. Give you front end a bit more flex room.

They sell the bullet proof bodies on eBay, they run around $90-100. Imo, you could make the same thing for half the cost yourself.

Yes you can find them on ebay, he usually lists them with make an offer besides bidding. You can pick them up for well under $90 and I think they are well worth it.

If you wanted a bullet proof body just take any body and get some of that rhino liner spray.

I am partial to the Flo-tek shell. It is a pain to cut all of the vents but it is worth the time to reduce the blow over on tripples.

I just bought a JConcepts BAJR body. I kinda dig the way it looks. I still need to paint it or I would have put up a pic of it. I dunno if I am gonna keep the slash with these trans issues I am having..lol
