Thinking of selling, no idea what it's worth at this point.

It's been a wile since I e been on here, life got busy, moved to a new house n what not.

Anyways, I've got two cars and a BUNCH of parts that I don't use anymore. Want to get rid of them, bu no idea a fair price.

I have a brushed Merv with a brushless esc and motor on it.
I also have a brushless Merv with a MMP ESC, and 4600kV BB motor, and lots of upgrades like aluminum bulkheads dual steering servos and a mini summit body. Steel trans gears RPM A ARMS, aluminum knuckles and list goes on and on.
6 2200 mha Lipos, 8 1600 mha nicads charger and extra ESCs and some motors.

    Here are some pics.

Any ideas on its value would be helpfull. Thanks.

    My guess: $300-350.
Most RC's don't hold their value very well, even with upgrades as nice as yours.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

O wow, that's not much at all, you figure that's price for the whole thing? Two r/c cars, battery's, charger, and spare parts?

Jimmie is the more experienced User. But i watched some auctions for used small Traxxas RCs before some time and in Germany the price seems to be more stable.
400 Euro should be no Problem at the german electronical bay. I would Split your components in 2 or 3 auctions, but that is just my oppinion.

If you sell the parts separate, 1 RC as a basic unit with the NiMh, and the other as a LiPo powered RTR with charger; you could probably get quite a bit more. But all grouped together... maybe you could stretch it to $400, if you want to wait for the perfect buyer.

Resale on RC's is worse than anything else I have seen... as soon as you open the box it drops 20-25%. As soon as you use it another 5-10%. After its first upgrade or carnage, another 15-20%. Then after that it pretty much stabilizes. Hop-ups are icing on the cake and don't really add much value. Batteries I personally see as a hazard to deal with more than anything, especially with LiPo.

Thanks for the eye opener. I guess to get the most $, seems like selling all the extras separate is the way to go.

I know there is at least $1000 of stuff in my collection. Sad that resale drops it so much.

Yup... when I sold my mini's I had close to $1,400 in the pair... broke the parts up and sold the RC's to squeak out $400. But, at least my parts and RC's went to forum members in need.

I guess the only way to look at is the pleasure it brings to you and you kids (if you have any)

The only RC I've seen hold its value is the 1/10th scale Summit... depending on the market, even as high as 80%.

Cool, I was lurking on the forums and just stumbled across this thread and I'm kind of on the lookout for a Merv or a 4wd Slash. I notice your location is ND, I'm in the Bismarck area myself I'll keep an eye out in the marketplace if you do decide to sell.
