    My Mini Summit Build...

Just realized I never started a thread on this one.
It's been a slow process because I have a broken hand.
It's been a real lesson in patience working this way.

I picked up this Summit in a trade and it needed some tlc.

I've decided to turn it into somewhat of a crawler.

    So far I've installed...
Axial 27t brushed motor with the stock XL 2.5 esc
Tenbol mount and STRC motor plate
    Integy servo saver
It has dual 2080 servos in it right now...but may replace them with a single Hitec servo

As far as other mods/repairs...so far I've...

    Did the crawler transmission flip
replaced all 4 axles with Merv axles
replaced servo saver bushings with bearings
    replaced front toe links
rebuilt front carriers with 7033x caps
    replaced the bumpers
    locked the front diff
    shimmed the front bulkhead
    rebuilt the front shocks

    Still to go is...
    replace the front push rods
install bearings in the front rockers
    replace the rear push rods
    replace the rear toe links
rebuild the rear carriers with the 7033x caps
    lock the rear diff
    shim the rear bulkhead
    rebuild the rear shocks

I'm also going to replace the stock white body with a red one.
I haven't decided if I want to install lights...but if I do...I want all the front/rear bumper lights and the lightbar to work.

I'm planning on replacing the white body with a new red one.
My wife said that since I am...she wants to try painting on the white one(who knows what she has in mind, lol).
Once I took the exo cage off and gave her the body...I stuck the cage back on the Summit for kicks...and I love the way it looks.lol.

Well...I hit a road block putting the rear end back together.
It seems that this Summit has been apart before and for some reason...the previous owner had installed two non matching upper rear arms.
It has one Summit arm and one Merv arm.
I didn't notice it when I pulled it apart.
Looks like I'm going to have to order a set of TRA7132R replacements and just have some spares(unless anyone has some stock Summit suspension arms laying around that they aren't using).

Make some duct tape panels for the cage! They have all kinds of prints now...

    Good catch on those arms!
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

I'm still tossing back and forth between getting a replacement red body...or an Integy cage and adding body panels.

I like running it with that cage only, it bounces back when it flips.

I checked out the duct tape stock at my house...and it's not gonna happen.
    My choices were...hot pink,baby blue,or Justin Beiber duct tape.lol.

The Justin Bieber and pink would go together well for a theme.

The stock tires are good for crawling. What cage are you referring to?
With great brushless comes great responsibility.

Well I finally got it going.
It does pretty well with the stock tires.
I'm still running it like above with no body just the cage.
I've decided I'm getting a clear body and painting it.
    Haven't decided 100% on a scheme yet.
However I have not only these red ring wheels here but also a set of yellow ones so I have a bunch of options and a few ideas.
