    Problems with steering

    I recently purchased a used Summit 1/16 VXL. From the moment it arrived the turning radius was very small. I read somewhere that you can adjust the end-pont of the steering on the 2.4GHz transmitter, yet I have not found somewhere where it tells you how to do this. Please post instructions on how to do it or any other suggestions. Thanks.

    Depending on your transmitter, this may not be possible. If all you have is the single red button, endpoints are not adjustable.

    What weight diff oil is used? If it is super thick, turning radius is going to be quite large.
    Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

    Why would you want a smaller turning radius? I think you meant larger radius...
    Check out towards the end of the manual:

    Smaller turning radius is much more desirable than a large one.
    Smaller = sharp turns.
    Larger = "40 acre" turns.

    Try resetting the controller back to factory.

    It is covered in the manual.
    On-line manuals are available under the products button near the top left of this page.

    Is it maybe because I have rpm a arms. Maybe the toe links are too short?

    I did not have any issues with steering... stock toe links and RPM arms.

    Are your pillow balls threaded in too far?

    Have you measured them?

    I didn't know RPM made links for the 16ths...
