    Emaxx 3906 upgrades

    Hello,
I found a place I can start racing my Emaxx. I was wondering what would be some good upgrades for performance? I am running my original ESC and motors in it still from when I got it new.

    Thank you

What are the limitations of the class?

For performance, you are mainly looking at new tires suited for your track, and a new motor and esc. Because there is no doubt in my mind some people are gonna being there embe and just crush you.

What motors do you recommend to replace the stock?

12 turns will spin too fast without enough torque. The stock ones are 21 or 23 turns.

How would a Titan 775 do in the Emaxx? Will it give me a speed boost?

no not so much, and the tourque is a little more. I have a e maxx gearing spur 68 and pinion 20. But the run time you get from the batteries is very good (better). It is still water proof and you can drive it longer and if you buy lipo you will have the same power all the time when you drive the truck. I have kept the stock esc and bought a lipo buzzer and it is working fine. But have heard that dewalt is better more power and more tourque.

I put a 775 and then a DeWALT in my buddies Maxx...

775 offered marginal improvements... could have been because the motor was used though.
Put a DeWALT in it... 20 something pinion and stock spur... noticeable speed boost and gobs of torque.

Neither come even close to brushless.

Ive heard the kershaw design motors do well in the emaxx as well, they also sell a DeWalt motor, idk if it the same one Jimmie is talking about tho. http://www.kershawdesigns.com/Products-NewE-maxx.htm

Would the single be fine or do I need double?

Single is more than enough. Double DeWALTS have very little to no benefit for a basher/racer... the second motor only adds weight, part breaking torque, battery consumption, and another ESC.

I used part numbers 396505-21 & 603754-01... one is for the motor and the other for the brush box.

they should work fine, there isn't much resistance to move the part inside.

So the other day when racing I broke my steering servo when I crashed. What would be a good replacement? Thank you
