    How many?

So this might be a dumb question but how many vehicles can you have on one controller and if you can do multiples do you have to reprogram it every time or just once? I never really understood this in to detail. I am building two emaxxs that would be great if I don't have to buy each one a controller instead just the transmitter that goes in the vehicle

Controller and transmitter are the same thing.
Receivers are what goes in the vehicle.

I think it is 20 RC's... you only have to bind them once.

Which controller do you have? I think there was one a while back that did not have multiple model memory.
Whatever it is I just typed... could be wrong.

The older TQ 2.4 GHz is limited to 20 different receivers before it starts rolling over.

The newer TQi 2.4 GHz has a more memory to link up to 30 different receivers before rolling over.

Given newer technology and higher output with internal antenna, the newer TQi may maintain a link over a longer distance than the TQ 2.4 GHz

Funny Jimmy ... Traxxas says page no longer exists.

TQi can link to TQi receiver but not TQ receiver.
TQi is the longer ranger, higher output transmitter/receiver combination used for the newer high speed vehicles

2.4 GHz TQ receiver can only link to TQ receiver.
TQ is the older long range, but not as long as TQi, transmitter/receiver combination

TQi does link to TQ LINK receivers.

Link doesn't work, but the page is still there.
Support > TQi compatibility guide (under FAQ)

I'd help a lot if Traxxas was more inventive with names. All of their radios are "TQ".

Testing to see if it is a mobile paste issue from earlier:

Also... "I'd" is supposed to be "It would"... I have no idea how auto-correct came up what that. lol
