    eSport

Hey guys - I am looking to do an electric conversion on a Nitro Sport with hopefully a Novak 2s 13.5 turn setup. My only problem will be making a motor mount. I was thinking that I could take off the engine mounts (Bolt directly to the engine) and making a 90 degree bracket that is sturdy enough to hold the motor. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Could you post a picture of what you are trying to do?
With great brushless comes great responsibility.

Well I made a custom mount and worked on my Sport for 2 hours, just to discover that the Aluminum chassis piece flexes WAY too much. It stripped like heck. So my solution, once I have the time, is to get and modify a Stampede tranny and install it in the sport, and then mount the motor directly to it. This is going to be more difficult and just plain annoying than I thought.

It seems like it is always more difficult than it seems.

Agreed! Everything happens that way. Just the nature of the hobby.

Okay - I found another solution! I cut a steel bracket into a plate about 5 inches long, used the bench grinder to smooth it out, filed it, drilled it, bolted it to my chassis, and came up with a reinforcement that adds tons of rigidity! I actually am starting to think this might work!

Hot racing part number EEC2000T01*might be a viable solution. Has anyone tried it?
