there's no cvds to run with the protrac arms.
Their are a few axle choices with the pro-track system, Tekno and the mip electric rustler shafts(I've used both of these) match well.
I'm told the traxxas 6852r's will work as well but their stretched a bit thin in the telescoping department.
There may be more but the first two I can confirm, oh the pro-pine units work as long as your only looking to get a couple races out of them, they wear faster then stock traxxas plastic.

Are you looking for axles to fit the stock or pro track arms?
The 2210 CVD is a little longer which is needed to make the 1951x kit work on a ProTrac equipped 2wd slash. All you need to do is swap out the 1951X CVD’s with the 2210 CVD’s and the kit will work on a 2wd slash with ProTrac arms.
Just grab a set of these if you already have the 1951x's.

Your looking for what Rc Rev posted than, TKR1951x

I'm going to give the traxxas cvd's(6852R) a go as they look awesome but they'll have their work cut out for them imo to out do tekno.

Thanks skye, not feeling to bad now, my lhs said $98 for two sets so I guess their giving me a good price, I have to pay tax on top of that tho so mine will be about twelve more bucks buts that's not their fault.
I'm also thinking about an xo-1 for parts.
You can get them for just over six hundred now and you couldn't buy the parts for anything close to that.
The stub axles on their cvd's are six mm but again the fronts would only be good for a 4x4 as the inner bearings are different.
Looking back that may have been the way to go but hindsight isn't always 20-20 lol.

I'm being a little lazy by not reading previous posts but your trying the Traxxas cvd's correct.
As much as I enjoy the care free tekno durability I'm quite anxious to try the TRA6852R's out.
At this time its the visual aspect but time will tell on the durability end.

I'd wait for them, to break, imo you'll get the most wear possible that way.
Or you could change them and keep the old ones as spares, either way you win.

I know when painting I'm suppose to start with the darkest color first, but I have 2 places it would be way easier to do the red first. So I am wondering how much of a color change it would cause to red by putting black on it. Or could I counter that by backing it with white then doing the black.

if you do 3 or 4 good coats of red first i doubt that the black will change the color much if at all, but if you want to be on the safe side it'd definitely help to back the red with white before the paint the black

Didn't like where the back mounts were set up with the proline screw caps. They were located too close to the rear fender and the side of the cap was on top of the fender. So I'm installing a center screw in the back to lock it down.

And billy thanks for the proline body mount suggestion now I can still run my normal slash body with a 5 min re adjustment.

it works pretty well , drilled a whole in the center of the rear mount, put a m4 x25 screw thru it and used 2 nuts (one to hold int place tight n the second to establish the length of screw that goes thru the body) topped it off with a rubber washer. and the proline cap screws right on.

Top view of the above description

Wanted more space between body n wing. Used black rubber stoppers, let's see what kinda punishment they can handle.

Time for some graphics - more to come later

Put the bigger fun backyard tires back on for some fun in the dirt tomorrow.

RC Rev love the buggy!!!!! Been wanting to build one myself but time is always the issue. My two cents and unsolicited advice. Get some Pro Line SlingShots for the rears of that beauty. I have a sandy pit by my house and they work wonders on my slash. It is not even close when I run with my buddies who don't have them.

On my "beat to a pulp truck body" they don't look all that pretty. On that sweet buggy they will look real nice.

You've built a nice rig, is there a reason for the tire change besides just a terrain.

Terrain is the only reason. The road rage are great on road. Just the fronts are too small for grass.
