    MMP and 2400kv

does anyone here run the mmp and the castle i think 1415 2400kv from the funny car?

i have seen tons recommend that motor, but everyone seems to be running them in the p4de with a different esc or the mmm or mm2

would the mmp hold up, or should i not risk it?

my p4de is going to take a long while before it is built, so if i have to wait to get it how i want it, i will

I run the MMP sct 2400 combo. Beat the snot out of it today. Jumping 40+ feet. Been running it for over a year. Oh ya it's in my p4de. My friend runs the MMP blue 2400 from funny car in his hcg 4x4 slash. He beats his harder than mine. So yes I know it's fine, plus mine is a castle combo offered from castle. Man it's a beastly combo!

I've seen the MMP handle the 2200kv motor so doubt the 2400kv would give it any problems, especially in a truck the size of the Pede 4x4.

My tempos today were no higher than 135deg. Running 19 tooth pinion and 4s lipo. Castles website recommends no higher than 4s for the MMP SCT 2400 combo. If you can just Google castle creations and you will find all the info you should need. At least some of it. Good luck.

i assume a 2s, is going to suck on the mmp and 2400?

    should i stick to 3 or 4s?

2s is going to be a dog IMO, 3s or 4s is going to be what you want which one just depends on how fast you want to go.

Love this combo. The absolute only fault to be found with the MMP is that it is NOT waterproof. For some that is a deal breaker. I live on the coast where it rains 9 months a year. Not waterproof is not an option for me. Still i bought the MMP SCT Edition combo with the 2400. I keep the esc in my parts bin for summer bashing... Such a waste tho.. Probably time to let her go .

I run the Castle 1415 2400KV Motor with the Hobbywing WP-SC8 ESC on 3s in my Stampede 4x4 with 17/54 gearing. It is extremely Powerful and runs very cool. Awesome Combo. You have to be really easy on the trigger all the time

You can change the Expo settings, on your transmitter, it will help with the throttle control. Or go into the hobbywing software and there is a neutral rage setting you can adjust.

I think a better way to tame the cc1415 is to reduce punch control on the esc

I don't want to overstress the Slipper so i rather use some tight setting (1/4 turn). I read some threads about burned slippers with a hight power system

You need part numbers 5253r and 5351 and when put it together make sure you put the pads in the right way and use the second hole down on the slipper shaftjob done it will dissipate heat better and give you a better feel of torque from the motor too dude.......peace

The MMP is a powerful ESC. I have used it for quite a while with my 2400 and stepped up to a 2650 later on. Never had problems with feeding any of the two. With the 2650 it can get hot if you push the combo hard enough, but it holds up just great.
