    After run oil OR....

Hey guys, I was wondering if I specifically needed after run oil for my engine or can I just go buy a can of WD-40 or any other recommended engine lubricants.

Traxxas recommends WD-40, but either one is fine. The most important thing is using it.

i use the after run oil...after doing some research wd-40 is a great lubricant, but what i found was that it does contain a small amount of water in the mixture. i personally spend a good amount of cash on my trucks and even thou WD-40 is a good product i would rather not take the chance to getting or allowing rust to develop in the motor.

    ...just my thoughts...

In all of my engines, I always used WD-40. A neat trick is to pull the fuel line off the carb and use the WD-40 with the straw and blow it into the carb where the fuel line attaches with the carb wide open, and of course into the head with the plug removed, then just crank it a couple times to distribute it throughout the engine.
