I would buy the traxxas cvd's from tower hobbies, they are proven to be the best steel driveshafts for this car.

Oops I thought this was the 1/16 e revo forum, I am not quite sure if they will fit. I would wait for someone else who know chimes in.

They sort of fit. You would need to install P2 rockers and/or Revo rear arms to keep them from popping out.
Traxxas makes the strongest CVD's and they do not make any specific to the Summit.
Whatever it is I just said... I could be wrong.

    ^^^ what he said.

With the long travel rockers and arms on the rear of the Summit...the rear CVD's(steel driveshafts) will constantly pop out because they are a fixed length and dont "telescope" like the stock axles.
If you are insisting on running CVD's... you need to swap the long travel rockers on all 4 corners with progressive rockers(stock on every 1/16 except the Summit)...and swap the rear arms out for mini Revo arms(Summit arms are offset to the rear 10mm more than the Revo arms).

I wanted to keep the long travel suspension in my Summit...so I'm just running stock mini Revo axles(part # TRA7151) in mine. The stock Revo axles are stronger than the stock Summit axles.

30k or 50k is stock... oil weight is a preference. What works for me may not work for you.
Any brand, as they are all pretty much the same.

16/50 is stock for the Summit VXL.
25/55 is stock for the Brushed Summit.

The 45t spur only comes stock on the VXL Slash and the Brushed Fiesta/VXL Rally cars(Rally,Tundra,Boss 302)

Im thinking about using this BMS-390DMH servo, but I read that you need to reverse the steering. Can you do that with the tq remote that come with the brushed summit

Don't cover the blue or the silver splines.

The blue is a heat sink.
The silver is where the horn goes.

    I never plasti-dipped a servo.

I always open them up, put a dab of grease at the servo horn splines, and then reassemble with a small amount of RTV at the seams. Never had any water get into my servos.

Check that it is a a small block plate and a small block mount. If so, check that the pin the mount rotates on is in the correct position.

The plate and mount are made for the 1/16 summit

The motor mount has brushless and non brushless screw holes, I put it in the brushless. I still dont understand why it doesnt work

    Any other suggestions?

Traxxas made two mounts and two plates for all 16ths. I am not sure if the small block plate and mount can be interchanged with the large block plate and mount or not.

Have you tried different orientations of the dowel pin the mount slides onto? I know it can be mounted in two different ways.
