    RC backyard track/course

I've been working on this for a few years now and haven't made it very far but, keep finding myself going back to it and slowly making some progress. Last night, after a few hours of shaping, I came up with this....

The last picture will be the rock crawling course

Looks like you just need some help. I'd start a little smaller, an oval with some jumps, then wirk it up from there. And, of coarse, get the rock crawling part done first.

Looks like a lot of fun.

I'm using 3 cell in my extended Pede and a Revo 3.3. Smaller wont work Started out that way but wanted more of a challenge. Track is laid out just need more material for the corners. The crawling course will be in the center of the track and want to have it so I can make changes easily when needed/wanted. May need to remove a few more trees in order to see the complete track.
It was too dark to take pictures of what I did in the crawling area...positioned a few rocks. I'll be back at it tonight and will take more pictures.

Looks pretty good to me. I have been debating on making a course but never get around to doing it lol. Plus I just bash and jump the ramps I made. Keep up the good work and post back with your updating results

Little more done. Took down 3 more trees...think I may use the standing stumps for a bridge of some kind. Placed a few rocks but still have a lot to do.

Thanks! Close to being done. Just a few things to add going from the stumps to the course....I do have a trail started that goes down to a stream, more for the dog, that would be good for some scale driving! Building the track seems to be as addicting as the RC's

I looked online to get ideas from others. I had an indoor course a few yrs ago and used most of the stone from that. I just started laying things out, tested it with the crawler and kept going. Pretty simple really. Tried using things from the yard first and slowly found other things to add to it. A lot of what I used, I just stumble on either at work or in the basement.

Well the leaves and pine needles are falling fast her in N.H. Made a few changes to keep things from getting too clustered. Ready to move on to the second area with the stumps and "overpass". Thinking about some more bridges and obstacles to add, to and from, the two crawling areas in the middle of the track. Then add more material for the turns and jumps.

Going to open the "lobster trap". Too tight for a scale truck.
    [IMG][/IMG]

These next few pictures will be for a trail that leads down to a small stream...

Still a working progress but getting closer. Made a wood bridge and see saw and cleared some of the trail this past week.

Been awhile. The leaves have all fallen and been blown away. Snow is trying to make it's way in. Put up the green bridge and placed the "see saw". Still hard to find the time to work on and use the track. It's there when I need it though

That's pretty cool! I will eventually get a picture of my "track" which was originally the small dirtbike track at out place in Kerrville TX. It mostly gets used for our golf cart race laps, we see who has the fastest lap(Me). I 'tweak' the engine though with the throttle adjustment when it's my turn!
    PM for info.....
