    4 tec buggy?

Anyone tried to make an offroad 1/10 4x4 buggy out of the 4tec?

There is about 1/8" ground clearance on a 4-Tec. I would say it's the wrong platform from which to develop an off-road vehicle.

    Yes: http://www.ultimatetraxxas.com/projects/trx-4/

But, spare parts are rare and it's fragile for an off-road buggy...

LOL... A Slash 4x4, or the new LCG Slash 2WD is the best way to go...

I saw that post on URC which is what got me thinking. I love driving my rusty, and I keep thinking if only it were 4wd! I have a 4x4 slash. But I was thinking something smaller and lighter, like a rusties size, in 4x4 with buggy handling would be awesome!

Maybe I'll look to some other manufacturers to see what's available. I figured a 4tec roller would be cheap to build on. I was just wondering if anyone else had tried a similar conversion to find out if it was worthwhile.

I dream of a mid sized buggy. Something between my mini revo and a 1/10 revo.
