    Return to the club :)

Its been about 3 months since I sold my last Pede 4x4. I was curently down to only my full size Erevo MMM...................until yesterday . Found this little guy on my local kijiji (like Craiglists for Canada). And man, am I glad I got another one of these trucks. They are soooooo fun to drive. Another cool part is its all stock, so the upgrade fun begins all over again. The truck came complete with all stock out of the box stuff. Paid $200 (Can) for the set-up, which is cheap for this truck around here. No a crazy deal, but a good one. Its in real good shape. The only downer is it came with the 2.4 Link remote not TQi

If you can tell, look at the drive shaft, its not even worn yet lol

My old Pede had the metal pins from the battery tray used for boby mounts to lower the body (as it looks terrible as shown in first pic). Does anyone know if that pin can be ordered ? Or do I have to get (4) Trx6727 hold downs too ?

i lowered mine by just removing the body mounts and cutting them down and reattaching them... easy as pie, just need a dremel to cut em down...

heres what i mean..instead of buying This body lowering kit just take off the plastic ones and cut them down... follow me? Just make sure to leave enough to screw back into...

worked great to lower my truck...its free too

Ya I know what you mean T4KT1KZ, I just liked the metal pins from the batt tray. Did you have to trim / cut the screw down also ?

Well crap ! If I didnt snap the drive hub (Trx6888x) on the front of the drive shaft. Now the trucks outta commish. I hate that. My LHS is 40min away, and if I order online (which I often do) it takes nearly two weeks (tower). Guess Im doing a road trip this Saturday. Its near impossible to get out of the LHS with "only what you came for".

On a side note, am I the only one who tries to hide all the "hop ups" they constantly buy from there better halfs ? lol, I could pretty much buy a new RC and my wife wouldnt notice the diff

Well made a trip to my LHS saturday and picked up a few goodies

    First was blue RPM A-Arms

    RPM Fornt Bumper

And the best up-grade of all for the Pede 4x4 - MIP'S

I got a kick out of the little nuts the MIP's came with to hold the wheels on, its tiny and the stock one is much better. You can see them in this pic.

I had also picked up a set of 17mm adapters. But the douche behind the counter didnt know (either did I at the time) that the Traxxas adapters wont work with the MIP's . So I'll have to return them. The last item I got was the front drive hub that was busted.

See, I told ya you cant just get what ya went for.

I am running traxxas 17mm adapters with MIP's. Perhaps they are the wrong ones?

    Hey Babby,

I have the same ones in your link. But the MIP (as shown in above pic) doesnt use the hole and pin the 17mm adapters require. The MIP uses (1) grub screws to attach to the flat side of the shaft. Maybe your MIP's are older ? As ive herd they changed so only MIP adapters can be used ???

Trimmed a up a new / used body to fit my new Pede 4x4 last night. I used to run this body on my Slash. It came off an old Nitro truck my friend had. A little cutting here and there, and vwaaaaala. Need basher body. Really thick plastic, much tougher than the stock one.

Maybe try a 9-10t pinion if you run 3s and some 1/2" holes in the windshield to let cool air in it worked for my vxl system and it lasted about 14 months before it went into meltdown and that's when I upgraded to the hobbywing and tenshock combo........peace

Hmmm, holes in the windshield is a good idea I didnt really think of. I was running the truck in my backyard (fresh cut grass) last weekend around a migshift track, for a good 20min on 3s. Then I lost power and the ESC started flashing red light. Until I looked this up I wasnt really sure what was going on as my MMM doesnt act this way. But when I took the lid off, I could smell that the ESC and motor were hot. So I let it cool for awhile, then it was fine. I know the 3s makes it run alot hotter and the grass didnt really help opposed to the pavement Im used too. I might try the holes in the windshield tho. Is the hobbywing and tenshock combo water proof ? Got any link to this set up ?

great buy fireman! i also own a p4de. my buddy keeps telling me its time for me to get something different, but when we bash together he cant believe how tough it is. i wanted to comment on those rpm bearing carriers. i picked up a complete set of rpm's new front hub/bearing carriers. i removed my existing traxxas alloy hub/bearing carriers and installed the rpm parts. so far i am not happy with them as the top and bottom shoulder screw i believe are coming loose. its the screws that secure the bearing carriers to the cblocks. they just wont stay tight, but this is all after heavy bashing with huge jumps. the traxxas alloy parts never came loose. Anywho looking forward to viewing your progression with your p4de. long live the traxxas p4de!
