    Cool Evil tires!

So I was bored today looking through my stuff and I saw my old stock talons lying around. So I took the little bit of glue off that still stuck and pulled the tire off. Now I have a stock wheel, but what to do with it? I know lets stick a bunch of screws through it.

They work amazingly. The climbing power is sweet. The only downside is they will get caught up in taller grass and weeds. But they look cool.

They seem pretty pliable but I will see. They are so fun.

At the dirt track on my Jato, I've been running a set of Dirt Hawgs with screws for about a year. The screws don't stick out of the tires quite that much. I put 33 evenly spaced large headed stainless steel screws (they last the longest) cut off to 1/8"- 3/16" in each tire. I don't measure them, I just cut them where it looks about right. I add a drop of tire glue to the threads before tightening them down. The drive wheels need at least one layer of gorilla tape before the screws and one layer after, to keep them from ripping out of the tire. The front tires will turn a lot better not taped, but if it's a 4x4 the screws won't stay long without tape. Of course those tires are only good for the track, they won't last long on anything hard. With those tires my Jato can out accelerate the fastest 4x4's and corner so fast it no longer has brakes.

So I tried these tires out in the mud and all I have to say is wow. I geared it 17/55 and it would just go and go. Eventually a pin fell out and I only had 2wd and it still would go. This mud was really deep, 8-12".

It has so much grip it will drive around on 2 wheels for long periods of time, on another note I "waterproofed my servo" I hope.
