    E Revo Mod 1 gearing.

    Hey,

I have a few Mod 1 geared RC's and I was planning on using mod1 in my Erevo as now all my RC's will have a full selection of Mod1 gears.

I can use the 40T from the Nitro Revo and 14/40 would be about the same ratio as i have now, but will this small of gears fit? if there is a mod1 gear in the 50t range that would be perfect.

Whats the benefit of mod1 gears? Is it only to reduce stripped gears?

Pretty much, they work better in dirty environments, I mostly want to add mod 1 becuase I have a lot of mod 1 pinions so its cheaper to have a full set of pinions.

If you run without the ESC hold down 14/40 might fit.
I run 20/38 right now and have to shave the side of the ESC hold down to avoid rubbing.

I dont think anyone makes a spur larger than 40t that fits the Revo mounts.
Not sure if anyone makes a slipper for the Revo that can accept a larger spur either.

    I don't think a Mod1 52t have room but I could be wrong

you might be able to find a 42t hardened steel aftermarket.

MGT spurs are what other mod 1 traxxas conversions are using. You may have to mod things on the erevo to allow it to clear.

Just an up date the 40t is way too small. Needs at least a 50t to fit decent

I have ran all types of gearing all the way to 30p 34spur try spinning the motor and lining up with the othe holes. It will change the position of the output shaft and makes it easier to fit without shaving the esc mount.

    Robinson Racing 7350

You can use the Robinson Racing HPI 7350 slipper/spur unit on the erevo transmission. This will give you a hardened steel 50 tooth mod1 spur that fits perfectly on the erevo.
